On August 1, the Wonder Girls tweeted a photo with the caption “You are the reason we are here, and thanks to you, we can celebrate the 2000th day since our debut. Millions of thanks.”
In the photo, the wonderful girls strike a pose while Hae Lym, in the center, is holding a cake.
All the five girls look on the cloud nine while So Hee is leaning towards Hae Lym with her eyes closed.

TVXQ top the Oricon DVD Chart again



TVXQ set another new record in Japan.
TVXQ sold about 151,000 copies of their DVD, titled 東方神起 LIVE TOUR 2012~TONE~, which was released on July 25, in the first week of its release, and topped the Oricon daily and weekly DVD charts.
This is their fourth time to top the Oricon weekly DVD chart and also the highest number of topping the Oricon DVD chart as a foreign singing group. In addition, as the DVD is TVXQ’s second one to top the weekly chart, TVXQ have become the first foreign singing group to top the DVD chart consecutively with two DVDs.
On August 1, the Oricon Chart reported on its official website, “TVXQ have become the first foreign singing group to top the DVD chart consecutively with two DVDs!”
The DVD contains TVXQ’s Tokyo concert, which was held at the Tokyo Dome on April 15. The concert was part of TVXQ’s concert tour of Japan, which had attracted a total of 550,000 audiences through 26 concerts in 11 cities of Japan, including Nagoya, Fukuoka, Nigata, Sapporo, Hiroshima, Fukui, Tokyo, and Osaka, from January to April.
TVXQ also topped the Oricon weekly chart with their new single, Android, released in July. It was their eleventh time to top the Oricon weekly chart, which is the highest number of topping the chart as a foreign singing group.
TVXQ will participate in SM Town Live World Tour III in Tokyo Dome, which will take place at Tokyo Dome in Japan from August 4 to 5.

E1 perform with the genius guitar player Jung Sung Ha



2NE1 recently performed with the genius young guitar player Jung Sung Ha.
On August 1, 2NE1 released a video of their acoustic performance with Jung on YG Entertainment’s official blog, YG Life. 2NE1 sang songs live to Jung’s guitar playing.
Jung, who has fascinated the whole world with his guitar playing, is a genius young guitar player currently in the spotlight. Ono Yoko, a wife of John Lennon of The Beatles highly praised his talent at playing the guitar and the world-famous rock group Mr. Big once suggested performing with them. As a big fan of Big Bang and 2NE1, Jung got an opportunity to perform with 2NE1 this time.
In the video, Jung plays 2NE1′s “I Love You” and “Lonely” in his own distinctive style and 2NE1 members sing the songs live to the acoustic sound. CL especially shows off her talent at both rapping and singing.
This performance is a special gift for 2NE1′s fans before the group’s world tour. 2NE1 started the first concert of their tour, titled New Evolution, at the Gymnastics Arena in Olympic Park on July 28 and 29.
In order to focus on the tour, 2NE1 postponed their plan for releasing a new single. They were originally planning to release a new single on July 28, which was three weeks after they released “I Love You” on July 5. However, they changed the plan and decided to release a new album in October instead.
After the concert in Seoul, 2NE1 will continue their tour in New Jersey (August 17), LA (August 24), Osaka (from August 31 to September 2), Nagoya (from September 7 to 8), Yokohama (from September 11 to 12), and Saitama (from September 28 to 29). More cities will be added later on.
Jung Sung Ha is a big star on YouTube, the first Korean user who received over a hundred million hits. He also became famous all around the world after holding a concert tour of ten countries when he was only thirteen years old. His playing style is so distinctive that almost no one can play like him.

Kim Hyun Joong donates ten million won to senior citizens who live alone



Kim Hyun Joong recently donated ten million won to some senior citizens who live alone.
Members of Kim’s fan club, Powerful S My Club, donated ten million won at the Beautiful Foundation campaign, which will be conducted till August 2.
The donation will be used to provide 175 electric fans and 100 thin blankets to some senior citizens so that they can stay healthy this summer.
Lee Eun Kyung, a member of the fan club, says, “I’ve always felt bad when I thought about the senior citizens who live alone in small houses, which have bad ventilation, but I feel better now because I can help them even a little bit. I also wish City Conquest success.”
Powerful S My Club started a scholarship fund under the name of Kim in February, 2010, and a total of 247 members have constantly donated to the Beautiful Foundation for three years. Until now, they have donated a total of 130,121,664 won.

CNBLUE will be releasing a new Japanese album on August 29



Boy band CNBLUE will be releasing their first Japanese album come August 29th.
The group made its official Japanese debut last year and their upcoming Japanese album CODE NAME BLUE is their first since their debut. August will mark a busy month for the boys as they are also scheduled to release new single Come On.

ZE:A’s Moon Jun Young to emcee Asia Song Festival


ZE:A’s leader Moon Jun Young, who injured his ankle, was recently selected as an MC for ‘The 9th Asia Song Festival.’
On August 1, ZE:A’s agency, Star Empire, said Moon will appear as an MC at the festival with actress Park Soo Jin, which will be held at Yeosu Expo on August 4, .
It has been almost a month since he made an official appearance after he attended a showcase on July 3. He had injured ankle since May so he couldn’t perform the group’s second EP Spectacular.
Moon says, “I couldn’t participate in our new song’s performances, because of my injured ankle and I felt bad about it. But I’m very excited to appear at the festival as an MC and to meet the public.”
“My ankle is not quite healed enough to perform the song but since I’m seeing a doctor regularly, I hope I can give a wonderful performance soon.”

Infinite appears at Apgujeong store


Popular idol group Infinite appeared at a store and drew a lot of attention.
