JYJ’s Park Yoo Chun and the cast of Rooftop Prince burst out laughing, spreading the “happy virus”


Recently, a video clip in which JYJ’s Park Yoo Chun, Han Ji Min, Jung Yoo Mi, Lee Tae Sung, and the three servants (Lee Min Ho, Choi Woo Shik, Jung Suk Won) of SBS’s drama series Rooftop Prince (written by Lee Hee Myung, directed by Shin Yoon Seob) appear with a bright smile on their face.
On April 13, a posting titled “Keep smiling with Rooftop Prince!” was uploaded on the official website of the series.
The clip shows the cast burst out laughing while shooting. Their smiles, facial expressions, and actions sport such an innocent, lively image and spread out a “happy virus” among the viewers.
Netizens who saw the video reacted: “Seeing all of them smiling makes me feel happy too.” “They have a great atmosphere on the set.” “I smile because of you guys.” “They make me smile throughout the clip. They are such lovely actors.” “Can’t wait to see Rooftop Prince again!”
The upcoming episode draws more attention as Park Ha (played by Han Ji Min) is hired by the company where Sena (played by Jung Yoo Mi) works, giving a foresight to their growing conflict.

JYJ’s Kim Jae Joong encourages Kim Hyun Joong with a letter


A letter written by JYJ’s Kim Jae Joong to Kim Hyun Joong has become an issue.
In the episode of MBC’s K-Pop Star Shakes the World–Lucky Guy Kim Hyun Joong which aired on April 17, Kim Hyun Joong shows his particularly close relationship with JYJ’s Kim Jae Joong.
The stars are seen having a meal together and frankly sharing about their stories for they haven’t seen each other for a long time.
Kim Hyun Joong says, “We have lived together for a year, but because we are both busy with activities abroad, the actual time we’ve spent together is only about a month.
 When I was going through a hard time, Jae Joong hyung wrote me a letter. He said, ‘If there’s anything bothering you, don’t keep it to yourself. I’m there for you.’ I was so grateful for that letter.” He expresses his gratitude to Jae Joong.
On hearing this, Kim Jae Joong replies, “I received a letter back from Hyun Joong which read, ‘I’m sorry and thank you, hyung.’ I know it’s pretty awkward for guys to communicate with a letter, but still…” and laughed out loud.

U Kiss makes a comeback after an eight-month hiatus


Idol group U Kiss will make a comeback after an eight-month hiatus.
On April 25, U Kiss will release their sixth mini album, Doradora and start their activities in Korea. They are returning in eight months since their second official album they released in September.
In this album, songwriter and producer Kim Hyung Seok directly participated in selecting songs and the concept of the album, elevating the musical status to a new level.
Kim Hyung Seok and Brian Kim(Zigzag Note) composed the title song “Doradora” together and Heo In Chang wrote the lyrics. This album also contains a rhythmic and upbeat dance song “4U(For You)” that singer Jay Park wrote.
After the activities of their second official album, Neverland last year, U Kiss went overseas to Japan, released two albums and held a Japan concert tour, attracting more than 30,000 fans.
With the release of the mini album on April 25, U Kiss plans to appear on Mnet’s M Countdown Hello Japan- M Countdown One Asia Tour 2012, which will be held at Saitama’s Super Arena in Japan as their first TV broadcast.

JYJ’s Kim Jae Joong praises Kim Joon Su for his talent at music



JYJ’s Kim Jae Joong praised his team mate, Kim Joon Su for his talent at music.

On April 16, Jae Joong tweeted, “The album by Joon is really awesome. I’ve been working on his album, and I have seen him so far. His ability to absorb melodies and express emotions is beyond description. At the end, we all agreed that he has inborn talent.”

Kim Joon Su is to release his first solo album sometime in next month. This is his first solo album since his debut in 2004. The album is also creating an issue for Jeri Slaughter taking part in the production of the music video. Jeri Slaughter is a choreographer, who worked with JYJ for their world wide album.

Kim Joon Su is to start his career as a solo through his first concert, which will be held at the Jamsil Students’ Gymnasium, in Seoul on April 19 & 20. The singer is planning to promote his alum through an Asian tour via Thailand, Macao, and others.

Super Junior’s album exceeds 500,000 copies in sales


Super Junior’s fifth album, “Mr. Simple,” has exceeded 500,000 copies in sales.
According to the Gaon Chart on April 12, the album, which was released in Aug. 3 of last year, had just reached 502,830 in sales.
By doing so, the album joins the ranks of other most-sold, Korean albums to date. The list includes Kim Gun-mo’s “History,” released in 2003, and TVXQ’s “Mirotic,” released in 2008.
As well as being a high achiever in Korea, the boy bands’ fifth album was also favorably received abroad.
In Taiwan, Thailand and the Philippines, the album topped charts.
In Taiwan, “Mr. Simple” stayed in the No. 1 spot for 34 consecutive weeks on the KKBOX Chart. Super Junior’s previous album, “Beauty,” also did well in Taiwan, as it stayed on the top spot for 63 weeks.
Currently the band is on its world tour, billed “Super Show 4.”

The KARA Spring takes off in Japan as girl group tours six cities


KARA
KARA kicked off the Japanese leg of its Asian tour “Karasia” on Saturday in Yokohama. The band moves on to Nagoya for shows on Wednesday and Thursday followed by performances in Osaka, Fukuoka, Tokyo and Saitama, keeping the girl group busy until late May.
In all, KARA will visit six cities in Japan and perform in front of more than 130,000 fans.
The girl group held a press conference ahead of its Yokohama concert and talked about the upcoming tour, including the difficulty in performing so many shows in front of such large audiences.
“It’s been five years since we made our debut,” Seung-yeon said. “We’ve improved a lot, but there were difficult times too. We gave it our best and there were times when we were absolutely exhausted. But we needed to go through those difficult moments to get to where we are now.”
The “Karasia” tour began in Seoul on Feb. 18 and will take the group to Japan, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Thailand.

Super Junior’s Choi Si Won is reportedly satisfied with the work with Karl Lagerfeld, a world-famous designer and photographer.
While recently visiting Paris for the Super Junior Concert in Paris, Choi shot a pictorial for the cover of an American fashion magazine.
Karl Lagerfeld, a fashion mogul renowned as a head designer for Channel, took part the project as a photographer and worked with Choi.
Karl Lagerfeld praised Choi for his professional poses and gave him some clothes and accessories that he designed himself. So, the air of the set was reportedly friendly and pleasant.
Super Junior successfully held their concert in Paris on April 6, which was the first concert for K-pop act to hold a concert on its own in France. The group will go on to Jakarta, Indonesia to continue its world tour, Super Show 4.

The album is also recording a high album sale figure in the overseas markets, which proves the group’s enormous popularity worldwide. Additionally, the original version of the album Ear Fun has been selling steadily. The two albums have topped a whopping 130,000 copies sold altogether.

JYJ’s Park Yoo Chun is capturing the world through SBS’s Wednesday-Thursday series Rooftop Prince.
The series, which has aired 7 episodes so far, has become a beloved romantic comedy with a unique plot that travels over 300 years through time.
Fresh cream spray, which appeared on the series, sold out in every store and his expression is parodied online. In addition, foreign countries are showing an extraordinary response.
