Super Junior successfully hold an exclusive concert in France


Super Junior, the representative singing group of Korea, successfully held an exclusive concert in France. It was the first concert held by a Korean singing group in France.
On April 6 (local time), Super Junior held Super Junior World Tour Super Show 4 in Paris at Le Zenith de Paris. The concert was enough to prove Super Junior’s global popularity as a large number of people from such European countries as France, U.K., Germany, Poland, and Hungary swarmed to the place.
Including their hit songs, such as “Sorry Sorry,” “Bonamana,” and “Mr. Simple,” and individual performances, Super Junior got nearly 7,000 audiences excited with their fancy performances.
Super Junior also tried to interact with the fans in France by speaking French and entertaining them with their wit. In addition, the special guests Cheon Sang Ji Hee’s Dana & Sunday performed “One More Chance” and received an enthusiastic response.
One of the audiences said, “It was a very unusual concert. I’m still very much moved by it.” Another audience even dropped tears saying, “I can’t believe that I actually saw Super Junior. I really appreciate them for coming to France.”
The concert in Paris will also air on MBC TV’s MBC Special at the end of April.

Let’s give a warm welcome to the new member of After School, Ga Eun


After School recently introduced a new face as the fifth generation.
On April 10, the group’s agency, Pledis stated, “After School’s new face Ga Eun is 17 years old. She was chosen as a member among the trainees of our agency because she proved the most powerful vocals and performance skill.”

Super Junior’s Donghae and Eunhyuk released their first Japanese debut single Oppa, Oppa and ranked 2nd on the Oricon daily single chart and weekly chart.

Get on the ‘Free Bus!’ 4minute runs bus line for 4 weeks


Girl group 4minute will run a ‘Free Bus’ for 4 weeks.
On April 10, 4minute’s agency, Cube Entertainment, said the group will start performing the title song “Volume Up” on April 11 and run a ‘Free Bus’ for 4 weeks in downtown Seoul. The bus is decorated with the “Volume Up” concept and will announce the group’s return.
As soon as the song was released, it ranked high on 4 music charts, including Mnet and Bugs. The group decided to run the ‘Free Bus’ as a promotion for the new song and as a service for their fans.
4minute announced the route for 4 weeks by releasing the ’4minute’s Free Bus Map’ on April 10 on their official website and social network.
The bus will run in downtown Seoul. The route, lined with 4 stations, looks like the number 4. The bus will run from Gangnam Station, Myeongdong Station, Hongdae Station, and Jamsil Station every Tuesday to Sunday from 1:00 in the afternoon to 9:00 at night.
On the bus, people can see pictures of the members, transformed into charismatic female warriors for the new album. They can listen to songs, and watch music videos.
4minute will also get on the bus to surprise the fans and hold a guerrilla event.
The group will appear on Mnet’s music program M Countdown on April 12 to perform the song for the first time.

Big Bang’s Daesung and Seungri emcee music show with IU


Daesung and Seungri of idol group Big Bang, composed of 5 members, will be special MCs for a music show after two years.
On April 10, the agency, YG Entertainment, said that Daesung and Seungri will be one day MCs for SBS’sInkigayo, which will air live on April 15.

G-Dragon appeared on TV for the first time through MBC’s Kiss Kiss when he was 5 years old. When he was 7, he showed off his dancing skills as a child Roo’Ra and when he entered an elementary school, he became popular as a child rapper.
G-Dragon’s second grade teacher in middle school, praised him, “He did his best to accomplish his role.”
Many people were surprised to hear that Taeyang and G-Dragon went to the same high school. In the high school yearbook picture of Taeyang, he looks different with long hair.
Daesung, who has cute eye smile, hasn’t changed a bit and made the audience laugh.
Daesung’s second grade teacher in middle school praised him, “I told him he would become a singer if he try hard.”
He also made people laugh by writing that he has 1 percent of possibility to become a genius on his class anthology.

Super Junior shines in city of light


Boy band wonder kids Super Junior wowed fans from Europe and the world at “World Tour Super Show 4” on Friday in the city of light.
At the band’s first solo concert in the French capital, more than 7,000 fans from Europe, Asia and Africa sang along to the songs sung by the band in Korean. The show cost a hefty 100 euros ($130) per ticket, but despite this, the venue was at full capacity. A moving stage was set up to allow the band to be at eye level with the audience and a 20-meter-tall (65-foot-tall) LED screen showed film clips.
In addition to Hallyu fans, the mothers of Leeteuk, Donghae, and Yesung attended the show at Le Zenith de Paris, which ran for three hours and 30 minutes.
“I never imagined that my son would be performing in Paris. We are so proud of all of our kids,” said Leeteuk’s mother. Meanwhile, Kyuhyun thanked fans, saying, “We are one. It doesn’t matter where you are from or what color your skin is.”
The band will now travel to Shanghai for a show on April 14 followed by a visit to Indonesia to meet fans.

‘Flower boys’ keep time in Japan


Drama “Shut Up! Flower Boy Band”
To launch tvN’s hit drama “Shut Up! Flower Boy Band” in Japan, CJ Media announced that it has an unusual promotion planned.
The company has joined forces with the Japanese clock Web site “Bijin Tokei,” which features “flower boys” holding signs displaying the real time.
The cast members – actor Lee Min-ki, actor Sung-joon, L from the boy band Infinite, singer Lee Hyun-jae, model Yoo Min-gyu and actor Kim Min-seok – will feature on the site leading up to the show’s debut in Japan.
“The boy band members from the show will appear on the Web site at random hours to surprise fans,” CJ Media said on Saturday.
The promotional event has been planned to coincide with the launch of the Korean drama on Mnet Japan. The popular program will air starting Sunday.
The show is based on the trials, triumphs and love lives of a teen boy band. It is the follow-up to tvN’s “Flower Boy Ramen Shop” and rose to prominence for its cast of “pretty boys.” The tvN program aired from Jan. 30 to March 20 in Korea.
