Girl group After School (composed of Jung Ah, Joo Yeon, Uee, Raina, Nana, Lizzy, Yi Young, Ka Eun) member Lizzy has congratulated Nana’s birthday.

On September 14, Lizzy tweeted a picture with the comment “Congrats Ms. Nano~”

The way she is pouting her lips and the caption that reads “Happy birthday, missy Lim Nano~ I love you,” do not seem to go together, so they give a big laughter to the viewers.

Nana also makes a mischievous look as to respond to Lizzy.

After School’s UEE turns into a butterfly goddess

After School’s UEE recently transformed into a butterfly goddess.

UEE drew a lot of attention by turning into a butterfly goddess while shooting a pictorial for the September issue of the magazine Campus 10.

The concept for the pictorial was ‘miss butterfly’ and UEE showed off her elegant and lovely charms through the pictorial.

It looks like she is in a romantic fairy tale with small butterflies. She shot the pictorial with 300 butterflies and created a bubbly atmosphere on the set by singing a song, “Butterflies, come here. Let’s play together.”

UEE said, “I felt awkward about working with insects at first but I think it was a brilliant idea to shoot the pictorial with butterflies. They make it look wonderful.”

After School’s UEE talks about her first kiss: “He was also a singer…”

After School’s UEE recently talked about her first kiss.

In the July 16 episode of Mnet’s Beatles Code 2, UEE talked about the boy that she shared the first kiss with.

Super Junior’s Shindong, MC for the show, asked UEE, “Did you share your first kiss with a trainee when you were a high school student?” UEE answered, “Yes, he debuted as a singer but he does not perform anymore.”

At the time, UEE was a member of the girl group Five Girls. She said, “Group members also know him.”

After School is currently keeping busy with their song “Flashback.”

After School reveals ‘Flashback’ MV

Girl group After School has come back with their new song Flashback.

Though their 5th single isn’t set to hit shelves until June 21st, the MV for the song was released a day prior and showcased the girls in their black and white outfits, oozing all sorts of sexiness. Flashback marks the first Korean song that will not be featuring leader Kahi, who announced earlier this month that she would indeed be graduating from the group in September to embark on her solo career.

After School’s Kahi says goodbye through the group’s Japanese Facebook page

Girl group After School took a picture backstage after their Encore Playgirlz Tour in Japan.

Even though the girls have wide smiles on their faces, it was a bittersweet moment as this marked leader Kahi’s last official activity with the group as she will be graduating from the group in September to embark on her solo career. She left a message on the group’s official Japanese Facebook page, writing, “Today, [I] thank you very much.
I will never forget today.
That everyone has given so much love any time.

AFTER SCHOOL has been blessed to receive support from the fans, media, and staff, thank you very much.

Thank you for many years to come in the future for AFTER SCHOOL.

I will give cheers to everyone for their hard work!

Definitely a bittersweet moment as fans will not see another group picture until Kahi’s graduation picture.

Teasers for After School’s Raina and Nana released

After School released teaser photos for Raina and Nana.

On June 14, the 5th teaser photos were released on the group’s official website. Nana, who captured the Japanese fashion field, is showing off her perfect figure and powerful eyes. Raina is also showing off her beautiful legs and perfectly proportioned figure. Raina and Lizzy announced their tremendous change as members of Orange Caramel.

A spokesperson for their agency previously said, “We focused on group members’ beautiful legs through the teasers. Since all group members have perfect legs, we didn’t have to retouch the teasers.”

The group’s new album includes a duet sung by Raina and Jungah. They also wrote the song by themselves and drew a lot of attention.

After School’s 5th maxi single Flashback will be released online on June 20.

A U.S music magazine revealed a list of 10 K-pop groups most likely to break in America.

On May 20, Rolling Stone has picked 10 K-pop groups who would most likely succeed in America. They include SNSD, 2NE1, Big Bang, Wonder Girls, After School, SHINee, Ailee, Sistar, B2ST, and Miss A.

The magazine highly praised Girls’ Generation’s choreography and their music. It also mentioned 2NE1 members as the “genre-hopping and large personalities.” Ailee attracted attention because she was the only solo rookie singer to make the list.

Rolling Stone added, “K pop embraces genre fusion with both singing and rap, and there usually is a repetition of the chorus. Their popularity comes from performance and strong visuals.”

Recently, Lizzy of the nine-member group After School has revealed herself on the way to a school festival.

On May 15, the star tweeted a picture and commented, “On my way to the school festival with Chae Kyung.”

Let’s give a warm welcome to the new member of After School, Ga Eun

After School recently introduced a new face as the fifth generation.

On April 10, the group’s agency, Pledis stated, “After School’s new face Ga Eun is 17 years old. She was chosen as a member among the trainees of our agency because she proved the most powerful vocals and performance skill.”

With her joining the group, After School became a nine-member girl group, including the eight existing members, Kahi, Jung Ah, Joo Yeon, UEE, Beka, Raina, Nana, and Lizzy.

After the scouting was confirmed, Ga Eun said, “I was really thrilled at joining the team. I want to be an important, supportive member of the team.”

The agency also said, “The group has been growing into one of the hottest girl groups in K-pop by joining members step-by-step since its debut. You can expect more refreshing group with new face Ga Young’ joining the team.”

Ga Young is to make herself known to public with the group’s new album, which is slated to be out on June 21, and thereafter she is expected to be a key figure in After School.

After School’s Nana is charismatic at ‘Tokyo Girls Collection’

After School’s Nana recently appeared on the runway at the ‘Tokyo Girls Collection 2012 Spring/ Summer’ as an official model.

Nana attended the ‘Tokyo Girls Collection 2012 S/S,’ which was held on March 3 in Yokohama, Japan, as a main model. K-pop singers attend the event to perform their songs as guests but Nana showed off her beauty on the runway as a model.

‘Tokyo Girls Collection’ is a fashion festival, which has been held twice a year since 2005. Professional models can only be on the stage.

Nana has attended the ‘Girls Award’ in Japan and she was also praised by many people by appearing at the ‘Seoul Collection,’ which was conducted by designer Park Yoon Soo.

She was also selected as a cover model for the March issue of popular Japanese fashion magazine SWAK. Famous Japanese stars, including, Sawajiri Erika, Tsuchiya Anna, and Mizuhara Kiko were cover models for the magazine before.

Kim Soo Hyun and UEE are a flower boy and girl for graduates

Graduates, who are graduating from their schools in February, said that they wanted actor Kim Soo Hyun and After School’s UEE to give them flowers for their graduation.

Creek & River Korea Co., Ltd. and Media Tong did a survey starting on February 8 through 20 asking 547 graduates, “Who do you want to receive flowers from among entertainers when you graduate?” On February 22, they announced that Kim and UEE ranked first in each male and female ranking.

Song Joong Ki, Lee Seung Gi, Yoo Ah In, SNSD’s Yoona, IU, Shin Se Kyung, and Shin Min Ah were listed on Top 5 list.

The companies also did a survey asking, “What do you want to do the most after graduating school?” As a result, 52.6 percent of respondents said that they want to be employed by a large corporation.
