2NE1 rank third on the Oricon Chart with “I Love You”

2NE1 recently ranked in the top five on the Oricon Chart with their new song.

According to the Oricon Chart issued on September 20, 2NE1 ranked third on the Single Chart with “I Love You.”

2NE1 could rank third on the Oricon Single Chart because they’re currently on a tour of Japan, receiving a lot of attention. “I Love You” is 2NE1′s hit song, released in Korea on July 15, and 2NE1 ranked in the Oricon Chart with the same song in two months.

2NE1 held a concert at the Yokohama Arena on September 12, attracting a total audience of 13,000. This concert was directed by Travis Payne, an American choreographer who has worked with Michael Jackson and Lady Gaga. After the tour of Japan, they will continue going on a tour of seven other countries, making stops in eleven cities.

The father of 2NE1’s CL publishes a book about his trip to Paris with his daughter

The father of CL (the leader of 2NE1 which is composed of Park Bom, Sandara Park, Gong Min Ji, and CL) showed off his artist talent just like his daughter.

Recently, professor Lee Ki Jin of Department of Physics in Sogang University who is also the father of CL has published a book titled Collage Paris in which he talks about his trip to Paris with his daughter in July.

In the book, professor Lee introduces himself as the father of 2NE1’s CL, a professor of Department of Physics, an author of children’s book, and a collector of many different things. Putting aside his title as a physicist, he revealed some attributes of an artist through his distinctive language and pictures and the way he reinterpret things from a new perspective.

He is also called an “author of magic” and held his own exhibition with his writings and pictures. When CL was little, he wrote a story for children titled Head-butter, Kkak-ka, which later developed into a series of Kkak-ka.

Professor Lee basically gives you hint of where CL got her artist talent from. Her innate artistic talent is apparent in many different fields of art and she tries to combine various genres of art with music.

The father and daughter are enthusiastic in their work, but at times they gather together for some fun activities. In the music video of “Can’t Nobody,” the title track of 2NE1’s official album, CL appears with some robots in the middle of the clip that were made by her father.

The singer has often revealed her affection and respect for her father saying that his unlimited creative activity and passion continuously affect her in many ways.

Professor Lee Ki Jin is broadening his activity range with his talent adding more titles to himself besides a physicist. Now people are becoming curious of his book Collage Paris wondering how he would surprise the world this time.

2NE1 recently made a successful start by holding the first concert of their Japanese tour for 36,000 people.

The group held the ‘New Evolution’ in Osaka starting August 31 through September 2 and received an explosive response and hearty cheers from the audience.

2NE1 performed various songs, including their hit songs. They rearranged all of their songs with a live band and made the songs feel fresh and new.

World-renowned Will.I.Am makes a surprise visit at 2NE1’s LA Nokia Concert

At 2NE1’s L.A solo concert, world-renowned hip hop group Black Eyed Peas’ member Will.I.Am and Apl.De.Ap made a surprise appearance and even held a collaboration stage.

On August 24, 2NE1 who is currently on a global concert tour, held a solo concert at L.A Nokia Theater. This was the second concert after the one that was held on August 17 at Newalk Prudential Center in New Jersey.

Will.I.Am and 2NE1 has been building an intimate relationship since their music collaboration in L.A in year 2010. 2NE1 already recorded ten songs with Will.I.Am and plans to debut in the U.S with these songs.

2NE1 special guest at Psy concert

Spectacular guests attended Psy’s concert and made the audience even more excited.

On August 1, Psy held his exclusive concert at Jamsil Sports Complex in Seoul. Many stars, including 2NE1, Sung Si Kyung, and No Hong Chul, appeared at the concert as guests and drew a lot of attention.

2NE1 was the first guest to appear during the concert.

Park Bom surprised the audience by appearing on the stage when Psy sang a song from his sixth EP. Then the rest of group members also appeared and sang their song “I’m the Best” and “I Love You.”

Then No Hong Chul appeared and performed his song. He wore a white sleeveless shirt and a silver spangled beret and passionately danced with Psy.
