SHINee’s Minho recently said ZE:A’s Kwang Hee forced him to have a blind date.

In the episode of SBS TV’s Kang Shim Jang that aired on August 28, Kwang Hee said he would like to make his sister marry ZE:A’s Hyung Sik or Minho.

At this, Minho said, “Kwang Hee always talks about his sister on the set. He even showed me his sister’s picture, saying he wants to introduce her to me.” Minho politely said no, but Kwang Hee kept asking him to have a blind date with his sister.

ZE:A’s “Phoenix” tops an online music chart in just four hours

The “idol” group ZE:A’s new song “Phoenix” ranked at the top of a music website only four hours after its release on August 27 at noon.

According to Bugs Music (www.bugs.co.kr), “Phoenix” appears in the first place of a real time chart from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Kara’s “Pandora” and Girl’s Day’s “Blue Rain 2012” follow the rankings.

ZE:A’s leader Moon Jun Young, Ha Min Woo, and Kim Dong Jun worked on writing this song and put vintage synth sound and acoustic bass in a beautiful harmony, creating a French pop-style music.

Kim Dong Jun said, “I was very attached to this song because I composed it with some other members, and now it has become even lovelier to me as it ranks first. We’ll live up to the ranking with a great performance, so play stay with us.”

ZE:A returns with “Phoenix” on August 27

ZE:A returned to performing their new song “Phoenix.”

On August 27, the group released four songs, including their new song and the R & B version of the song “Aftereffect,” on several online music sites.

The song “Phoenix” is a french pop, which includes vintage synth sounds with acoustic bass. Moon Jun Young, Kim Dong Jun, and Ha Min Woo helped write the lyrics for the song.

The song fiercely competed against “Aftereffect,” which is about ZE:A’s passionate desires to become the best, to be the title song for their second EP Spectacular.

The agency, Star Empire, says, “Main vocal Kelvin, rapper Jung Hee Chul and Kim Tae Hun will show off their talents through the song. The group will also show a different look as manly men through powerful performances and charismatic group dance.”

The group was selected as an honorary ambassador for the Korea National Tourism Organization and proved that they are blue chip K-pop artists. Their new song “Phoenix” was pre-released in Japan on August 24 and ranked second on the Oricon chart.

ZE:A will appear on the Chinese version of ‘I am a Singer’

ZE:A will appear on the Chinese version of the survival program I am a Singer as a Korean representative.

The group will appear on the show on September 5 and 6 to compete against Asian stars by giving splendid performances while competing for first place.

Singers from Korea, China, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand will compete against each other on the show, which is known as the Asian version of MBC’s I am a Singer.

Shinhwa’s Lee Min Woo who was previously selected as a jury member for the show, drew a lot of attention. The first preliminary will air on September 5 and there will be one more preliminaries before the final. The winner will receive a monetary prize and the opportunity to hold an exclusive concert in China.

ZE:A, who kept busy performing the title song “Aftereffect” from their second EP Spectacular for seven weeks, will be back performing their new song without taking a long break.

On August 13, ZE:A’s agency, Star Empire, announced the group’s plan for their new song through their official fansite (www.ze-a.com).

ZE:A will take a break for one week after they appear on music programs this week and return to performing their new song “Phoenix” on August 27.

The new EP that they will release includes five songs, including the R & B version of the song “Aftereffect” and the new arrangement of the followup song “Heart for 2″ from their last summer EP Exiting.

A spokesperson for ZE:A says, “The group focused on expressing their emotions through the song “Aftereffect” but through the new song “Phoenix,” they will perform strong and powerful group dance. They want to fly high like a phoenix without giving up until the end.”

ZE:A’s Si Wan helps starving children

ZE:A’s Si Wan recently drew a lot of attention by wearing special bracelets.

Si Wan plays the role of a passionate high school boy who loves Jung So Min in MBC’s sitcom Standby. A scene, in which he is wearing bracelets that help starving children, recently aired and received considerable attention.

The colorful friendship bracelets that he wears on TV help starving children in Korea and in the Republic of South Africa. K-pop singers, including, SHINee, B1A4, and Infinite, as well as actors, like, Go Jun Hee and Hwang Woo Seul Hye, are also participating in the campaign.

ZE:A’s Moon Jun Young to emcee Asia Song Festival

ZE:A’s leader Moon Jun Young, who injured his ankle, was recently selected as an MC for ‘The 9th Asia Song Festival.’

On August 1, ZE:A’s agency, Star Empire, said Moon will appear as an MC at the festival with actress Park Soo Jin, which will be held at Yeosu Expo on August 4, .

It has been almost a month since he made an official appearance after he attended a showcase on July 3. He had injured ankle since May so he couldn’t perform the group’s second EP Spectacular.

Moon says, “I couldn’t participate in our new song’s performances, because of my injured ankle and I felt bad about it. But I’m very excited to appear at the festival as an MC and to meet the public.”

“My ankle is not quite healed enough to perform the song but since I’m seeing a doctor regularly, I hope I can give a wonderful performance soon.”

ZE:A attempts the highest bungee jump for their second album

Idol group ZE:A recently tried bungee jumping in an effort to make their second album successful.

On July 5, the group’s agency, Star Empire, said, “ZE:A released their second album Spectacular on July 4 and tried bungee jumping to help the album’s success.”

On the same day, the agency posted a video of group members Moon Jun Young, Kevin, and Park Hyung Sik, trying bungee jumping on their official website.

The agency said that the members decided to bungee jump from the world highest tower in Macao earlier this year when they were preparing for the new album.

Their managers also tried to bungee jump with the members but they all failed because the tower was as high as the 63 building in Korea.

Leader Moon smiled while he was 223 meters up in the air and said, “Let’s be successful in 2012.”

ZE:A plans a triumphant return to performing with their new song “Aftermath” after one year.

On July 3, ZE:A attended a press conference and a showcase, which were held to celebrate the release of their second album Spectacular.

Si Wan said, “We’ve been doing our overseas schedules and preparing for our second album over the past year. We worked hard on our music and style as well.”

Kwang Hee said, “I’ve been doing individual schedules for the past year. I missed working with the members. I was working by myself but now I can work with the other 9 members.”

The album, which is made up of 11 songs, including the title song “Aftermath,” was produced by Brave Brothers and Star Wars. The title song includes emotional lyrics about breaking up.

ZE:A will release their second album on July 4 and appear on Mnet’s M Countdown on July 5 for the first time after their return.

ZE:A also invited around 1,000 fans to their showcase from their official fansite.
