Immortal Masterpiece 2: MBLAQ’s Gio is crowned champion

In the episode of Immortal Masterpiece 2 featuring legend Yoon Shi Nae, MBLAQ’s Gio was crowned with 392 votes.

The episode of KBS2’s Immortal Masterpiece 2 that aired on September 15 was themed “42nd legend Yoon Shi Nae.” MBLAQ’s Gio chose “Love Poem” to sing and showed the essence of K-pop Ballad.

Before going up to the stage, the MBLAQ member said, “I’m not really good at winning. When I became a final champion last time, I was crowned with winning only one round. Today, I’ll just do my best.”

With magnificent background music, the performance was started. Gio’s crooning, romantic voice and the powerful, sad sound by string instruments carried away the audience.

After the performance, emcee Moon Hee Joon said, “He’s not just an idol singer with a pretty face any more, He’s a real guy.” Emcee Jung Jae Hyung also praised the idol star for his beautiful, emotional voice.

Climbing down the stage, Gio revealed that he felt sorry: “I made a mistake at the beginning. I felt so nervous.”

Legend singer Yoon Shi Nae also complimented the singer. “I like the arrangement of the song. It was really dramatic and grand, and I loved the way you expressed the emotion. That was fantastic.”

At receiving the trophy for the final winner, Gio quipped, “Let me pretend that this is a shower tap. I want you to know I’m a sexy guy when I’m having a shower.” And the hot guy posed as if he had been having a shower, which made everyone laugh hard.

Seungho and Mir – volunteers in Vietnam ^^

MBLAQ’s Leader, Seungho and their maknae, Mir, is currently in Vietnam doing volunteer works.

Seungho uploaded a photo together with Mir and stated, “During Koica’s volunteer work heh People living in Korea are you living well? heh” and he got a reply from Se7eN, one of YG’s solo performer saying “Oh our Seungho stay strong while doing good deeds!! Next time hand out with hyung!!!”

While Mir posted another photo of him and says, “I am working hard doing volunteer work in Vietnam…”

Are IU and MBLAQ’s Chun Dung close friends?

Singer IU recently took sticker photos with her friends.

On August 10, IU tweeted a picture with the comment, “We took a photo to celebrate Hye Mi’s birthday. I wish the four of us could appear on a talk show after Seong Goo and Hye Mi debut.”

MBLAQ will hold additional concerts in Japan in September

MBLAQ successfully held their concerts, titled BLAQ%, in Japan.

MBLAQ sold all tickets for their concerts held at the Osaka Oriks Hall on July 26 and 27 and at the Tokyo International Forum on July 30 and 31, part of their Asian tour, The BLAQ% Tour.

These concerts in Japan were held after the concerts in Seoul, held at the Olympic Hall in Olympic Park on July 21 and 22. Many overseas fans as well as Korean fans attended the concerts in Japan.

As befitted the title of their tour, The BLAQ%, MBLAQ gave strong performances for their fans to create 100% perfect concerts.

MBLAQ captivated Japanese audiences by performing “Run” and “Y” in warriors’ looks. The members also performed their individual songs, “Wild,” a unit song of G.O. and Mir; ”Don’t Go,” Cheon Dung’s solo song; “Cracks of My Broken Heart,” G.O’s solo song; and “Crazy,” Mir’s solo song.

Many people who couldn’t buy tickets for the concerts also swarmed over to the concert halls. MBLAQ have become popular in Japan with their debut single, which ranked first on the Oricon Chart. At the request of many fans, MBLAQ will hold additional concerts in Yokohama on September 8 and 9.

MBLAQ say, “We heard that all tickets for our concerts in Japan were sold out, but we didn’t know we were this popular in Japan. We’re so impressed. We’ll try our utmost to give the best performances for our fans at the concerts in Taiwan and the additional concerts in Japan.”

MBLAQ will continue their tour in Taiwan on August 18 and in Yokohama, Japan, on September 8 and 9.

MBLAQ’s G.O writes a song for new group A-Prince

MBLAQ’s vocalist G.O recently wrote a song for new group A-Prince and drew a lot of attention.

On July 23, a teaser video for the single “You’re The Only One” was released through New Planet Entertainment’s official YouTube channel (www.youtube.com/user/NEWPLANETwebmaster).

G.O has been busy touring Asia and appearing on the TV series Ghost. He is also showing off his talent for writing songs as a musician.

Mir also participated in writing the lyrics for the song “Your’e The Only One,” which was pre-released online.

The new group will release their EP on July 25 at midnight.

MBLAQ holds successful concert for 4,000 fans

Boy group MBLAQ, composed of 5 members, recently held a concert for around 4,000 fans.

On July 21, MBLAQ held ‘The Blaq% Tour’ concert at Olympic Park in Seoul starting at six o’clock in the evening for about two and half hours. It was an energetic and splendid concert.

Lee Jun started the concert by coming down from the sky on a wire. He appeared on the stage to cheers from the fans and he performed the opening song “Run” with other members.

The group gave various performances. They performed twenty-six songs in total, including, “Y,” “Again,” “Cry,” “It’s a War,” and “Oh! Yeah.” They gave the shuffle version of the songs “One Better Day” and “Good Love” to show off their hidden talents.

Each member gave individual performances to show off their unique charms.

G.O started off with the pop song “Cracks of My Broken Heart” and showed off his vocal skills. Cheon Dung continued his solo performance by singing “Don’t Go” while wearing a felt hat.

Lee Jun invited one special audience member to the stage. Lee was surprised to see the fan, who was an elementary school kid. Lee, however, sang “You Are My Lady” for the fan. Then he showed off his perfect upper body while giving a sexy performance.

Mir excited the audience by performing the song “Do You Want to Go Crazy” and Seung Ho showed off his excellent piano skills and dancing skills in a red suit.

G.O and Mir also performed a duet “Wild” after introducing the song as the sexiest song among MBLAQ’s songs. They made the audience feel jealous by giving a sexy performance with beautiful back up dancers.

Cheon Dung said, “I remember when I first appeared at Rain’s concert. I had no idea that we would hold our exclusive concert this fast. It’s all thanks to you.”

MBLAQ is touring Asia, including, Indonesia, Thailand, Taiwan, and Japan. Their Korean concert ’The Blaq% Tour’ will be held on July 21 and 22.

MBLAQ’s Mir has posted a picture of himself posing with a few members from the famous 91-line.

The 91-line is comprised of idol members who are born in the year 1991 and Mir reunited with a few of them at the recent Idol Athletic Championships. He shared the above picture and tweeted, “It’s been a while. 91-idol line ㅋㅋ”

In his picture are 2AM’s Jinwoon, SISTAR’s Soyou, miss A’s Min, and CNBLUE’s Jungshin. It is a bit of a pity that not all the members from the 91-idol line could be in this picture, but can you feel their close friendship?

MBLAQ’s G.O and Mir will perform as a duo at MBLAQ’s concert

MBLAQ’s first unit group will perform at the upcoming MBLAQ’s concert.

MBLAQ will hold a live concert, part of their concert tour titled The BLAQ% Tour, at the Olympic Hall in the Olympic Park on July 21 and 22. At the concert, G.O and Mir will perform as a duo and Cheondung will perform as a solo.

MBLAQ are currently having their first concert tour of Asia in such countries as Indonesia, Thailand, Taiwan, and Japan. The title of the concert, BLAQ%, shows MBLAQ’s hope to show their best performance.

A spokesperson for MBLAQ says, “MBLAQ received an enthusiastic response when they announced they will present their first unit group during their concert tour for all of their Asian fans. I can assure you that the unit group’s performance will be very distinctive.”

G.O and Mir released their first single “Wild” before their tour began, and Cheondung released his solo song, “Don’t Go,” on July 4. “Wild” is a song characterized by a cheerful yet strong beat.

Top K-pop singers go to USA to hold Super Concert

Top K-pop singers plan to take the United States by storm soon.

The ’2012 K-pop Super Concert in America’ will be held at the Home Depot Center in LA, California, USA on August 10.

Top nine K-pop singers, including, SNSD, SHINee, 2PM, 2AM, CNBLUE, KARA, SISTAR, Secret, and MBLAQ, will attend the concert. The venue can hold 27,000 people, which is the biggest number among all K-pop concerts in American history. Around 500 staff members prove that it will be the best concert ever.

On July 10, the concert created its official Facebook account (http://www.facebook.com/AbsoluteKpop) and received considerable attention in the United States. Over 300,000 people visited the account and the concert is expected to become the best concert to promote the K-pop craze.

The concert will air on SBS as a special concert in LA.

Top idol stars appear on Running Man

Pictures of top idol singers shooting SBS’s Running Man were recently released.

On July 9, pictures of idol stars spread through social networks and drew a lot of attention. In the pictures, 2PM’s Nickhun, T-ara’s Eunjung, Super Junior’s Eunhyuk, MBLAQ’s Lee Jun, CNBLUE’s Jung Yong Hwa, B2ST’s Yoon Doo Jun, and ZE:A’s Lim Si Wan are gathered together.

MBLAQ’s Cheondung Pleads ‘Dont Go’!

MBLAQ‘s Cheondung or also known as Thunder has revealed the audio of his solo digital single ‘Dont Go’through online music channels as promised at the latehours of 3 July.

It is an impressive first solo, doing the whole song including the rap on his own. The song had an addictive beat, and sings of a boy’s pleas for his love to not leave him.

Just like the sub-unit formed by fellow members G.O and Mir, who recently revealed their duet track ‘Wild’, this songs were made specially for MBLAQ’s first Asia tour ‘The BLAQ% Tour‘. Both songs will not be promoted, but will be performed exclusively during the tour stops.

MBLAQ’s visit to Indonesia causes traffic congestion at the airport

Recently, the boygroup MBLAQ has arrived in Jakarta, Indonesia for its first concert of the Asian Tour named The BLAQ% Tour. Fans who came to see them at the airport made a big crowd and caused traffic congestion, proving the group’s popularity.

The press conference which was held beforehand attracted a lot of attention from local media, gathering about 100 local reporters.

On July 1, the group’s agency, J.Tune Entertainment, said, “We’re very grateful for your warm welcome. We’ll try to give it back to you with MBLAQ’s spectacular performances.”

The group’s first performance of the tour, “The BLAQ% Tour in Jakarta,” raised the curtain on June 30 at the Mata Elang International Stadium in the presence of 5,500 fans.

At the beginning of the year, MBLAQ gathered popularity with the songs “This is War” and “Run” which contain spectacular, oriental performances.

MBLAQ’s G.O and Mir will release a duet song on June 27

MBLAQ’s G.O and Mir will release their first duet song.

On June 18, J. Tune Camp, MBLAQ’s agency announced G.O and Mir will release “The BLAQ% Tour Part 1. G.O&Mir Wild” on online music stores on June 27.

However, G.O and Mir won’t promote the song on TV. The performance for the song will be unveiled at their concert in Indonesia, titled “2012 MBLAQ The BLAQ% Tour in Jakarta,” scheduled to be held on June 30.

In April, there was great attention paid to the members of the first unit group from MBLAQ. However, as G.O was cast in SBS TV’s drama series Ghost, the album release was temporarily postponed.

A spokesperson for MBLAQ says, “The song is not part of the unit group’s album. It’s a song for MBLAQ’s concert tour, which will start at the end of this month. We showed part of the tour for MBLAQ’s domestic and overseas fans.”

Mblaq’s Lee Joon reveals, “My agency always get worried when I appear on a variety show…”

Mblaq’s Lee Joon revealed that his image as the entertaining idol makes him feel uncomfortable.

According to KBS on April 14, Lee Joon will appear on KBS 2TV’s Talk Show Do Dream, which airs this afternoon, and confess that he is worried of his personality being different from the character that the agency wants him to be.

Lee Joon confesses, “Is being honest a sin?” When he was asked why he chose this problem to talk about, he replied, “I think honesty does not pay most of the time.”

He added, “I want to be honest, but my agency tells me to take good care of my image, and also says that the fans give it a second thought when they see my true nature. When I hear that, I begin to ask myself if being honest is a bad thing.”

Mblaq’s G.O attended the script reading session for the new series, Ghost, but nothing is certain yet

J. Tune Camp denied the report that Mblaq’s G.O will certainly be joining SBS TV’s Ghost by saying, “He did attend the script reading session, but nothing has been decided yet.”

On the afternoon of April 4, Yoon Ji Young, a representative of Mblaq’s agency J. Tune Camp, revealed, “G.O is making final adjustments about the appearance for the series, Ghost. Nothing is certain yet. However, he did attend the script reading of Ghost.” during the phone call with TV Report.

Ghost is a collaboration work between writer Kim Eun Hee and producer Kim Hyung Sik, who also co-worked for the series Sign, last year. So Ji Seop and Lee Yeon Hee will star the series, and it will start broadcasting in May after the ending of Rooftop Prince.

MBLAQ are holding a first concert tour in Asia after they made their debut three years ago.

On April 4, CJ E&M reported, “MBLAQ are holding a concert tour titled The BLAQ% Tour in six cities in Asia, starting from Jakarta in Indonesia in June.”

MBLAQ are already popular in all over Asia with their perfect group dance and singing abilities and each member’s distinctive personality. They say, “We’re so nervous about and feel huge responsibility for our first Asia tour.”

J.Tune Camp, MBLAQ’s agency, says, “While actively promoting their fourth minialbum BLAQ% Ver., MBLAQ worked really hard on preparing their Asia tour. As all members have waited for this Asia tour for so long, they’re going to put all their efforts into the preparation. We’ll promise to give a great concert tour to enhance MBLAQ’s position and upgrade K-Pop’s status in Asia.

MBLAQ’s G.O cooks for a girl! Is he good?

G.O challenges himself as a chef in KBS Joy’s MBLAQ’s Hello Baby… airing on March 29

Showing off some spectacular techniques, G.O challenges himself as a chef.

In the eleventh episode of KBS Joy’s infant care program, MBLAQ’s Hello Baby, MBLAQ and three babies appear preparing a surprise party for Da Young’s birthday.

At the production conference in the beginning of the year, G.O confidently said, “I’ll learn how to cook for the kids.” In order to keep that promise, he prepares a special Vietnamese dish only for the baby Da Young.

Along with basic techniques such as julienning vegetables and stir-frying, the star boasts his confidence in cooking and awes other members with some spectacular skills as flipping and dancing while cooking.

However, when Mir tastes the dish, he belches out a noodle and embarrasses G.O. Immediately, G.O is nicknamed as a “fake” chef.

The episode also includes Lee Joon sporting three of his cute gestures to steal female fans’ heart and a competitive game of slap-match between Mir and G.O.

G.O revealing to be a “fake” chef will be aired on March 29 at 12:00 a.m. on KBS Joy.
