Wonder Girls will release their English album soon



Girl group Wonder Girls plan to invade the pop market in the United States once again.
American authoritative music chart and magazine Billboard reported on the Wonder Girls on September 12 with the title, “Wonder Girls say English album will come out very soon.”
It says, “They first hit the scene in 2009 with an English-language version of their Korean mega hit “Nobody.” While a title and date are still undecided, the group is more than aware of how hungry fans are for this album.”
According to the Billboard, the Wonder Girls are working with confirmed producers including J.R. Rotem (“SOS” Rihanna, “Fly” Nicki Minaj & Rihanna) and producers from their agency JYP Entertainment. As well, top-notch songwriters like Chrystal Nicole (who wrote “Like Money” and their track “DJ Is Mine”), Wynter Gordon, Claude Kelly, Nick Jonas are all on-board.
The Billboard also talked about their song “Like Money,” in which pop star Akon was featured. The song, which is an electric pop song, ranked high on the radio charts.
The group have previously held special promotions through the TV show Wonder Girls at the Apollo on MTV. The Wonder Girls were also nominated at the ‘Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards’ in March and drew a lot of attention from their teenage fans.

Wonder Girls begin Asian tour in Singapore



Girl group Wonder Girls, composed of five girls, will begin their Asian tour.
The Wonder Girls will start touring Asia on September 8  and will visit five Asian countries, including, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, and Vietnam, for three months.
This is their second Asian tour after their first tour as a girl group in 2007. The Wonder Girls said hello to their fans in Singapore, the first country that they will visit, through their official Twitter account.
In the picture, group members are posing together and holding papers to tell information about their concert. The phrase ‘WG love SG’ expresses their affection towards their fans in Singapore.
The Wonder Girls will meet 25,000 Asian fans in total through their Asian tour. Since they earned nickname ‘Performance Girl Group’ by constantly holding their concerts, they will give customized performances in each country.
The agency, JYP Entertainment, says, “The concert will respect each country’s characters and traditions the most. Through the concert, the Wonder Girls will establish themselves as the best girl group.”

Wonder Girls to start an Asian Tour starting from Singapore



Wonder Girls will be leaving for a five country Asia Tour from September.
Starting from September 8 in Singapore, Wonder Girls will hold live stages in Malaysia on October 13, Indonesia on September 3, Thailand and Vietnam in September.
Expectations are on the rise since Wonder Girls previously had an Asia Tour in 2009 and has been building up know-hows in various stages abroad.
A publicist of Wonder Girls says, “They will try their best to give the very best and unique stages.”
An acquaintance of Wonder Girls’ agency, JYP Entertainment, reveals, “A concert which will respect each country’s culture and tradition will be held. Through careful planning, Wonder Girls will show how a performing girl group should be.”
After the public announcement of their concert, inquiries regarding the ticketing have been overflowing in Malaysia. The fans are calling the concert hall and even the agency itself and asking about how the ticketing will be.
The Vietnamese Concert in September is receiving much attention since not many solo concerts of K pop stars have been held in Vietnam.
The hosting company of this concert, CJ E&M Music Industry, explains, “We planned this concert to celebrate the 20th year of diplomatic ties between Vietnam and Korea. Through this concert, spread of K Pop and various culture exchanges are to be expected.”

JJ Project to Open Wonder Girls Concert in Singapore!


It has just been announced that the good-looking duo JJ Project, will be special guests for the upcoming Wonder Girls concert in Singapore. The Wonder World Tour will be held in 5 countries with Singapore being one of the stops. Held on 8 September 2012 at Resorts World Sentosa, it is a full-blown concert. Dubbed as the upgraded Beyonce, Wonder Girls have made it big in both Asia and US music charts.

JJ Project will be the opening act, and will perform 2-3 songs. They debuted in May full of energy with the upbeat song ‘Bounce’. Made up of 2 members, J.B(Yim Jae-Beom) and Jr.(Park Jin-Young) are no stranger to many as they were casted in the popular drama Dream High 2. Take your hand off of the Wonder Girls’ Sun Ye!



2PM’s Taec Yeon and the Wonder Girls’ Sun Ye were recently spotted as a couple in a professional photo.
In the September issue of the fashion magazine Cosmopolitan, Taec Yeon, Sun Ye, and another member of the Wonder Girls, Yu Bin, will be seen in sensual pictorials.
The pictures were shot in the theme of a private party, and just like the title suggests, it creates a strong, secretive atmosphere.
Taec Yeon is dressed in a dark suit with a white luggage bag by his side, giving a casual, masculine look.
Yu Bin and Sun Ye appear in dramatic, turquoise dresses, matching with some purses printed Gucci on them, showing off sexy, party girl look.

Wonder Girls’ “Like Money” receives favorable reviews in US



Wonder Girls’ “Like Money” is receiving favorable reviews from several music sites in the United States.
All Access, a major music site in the United States, introduced the song “Like Money” as one of the new Top 40 songs.
The website said, “Wonder Girls has created a pop sensation by drawing over 2 million Twitter followers and 1 million Facebook fans. The group has become popular in the United States by appearing on many TV programs and collaborating with the Jonas Brothers. They are going to create another sensation with AKon.”
The song was introduced through AOL (America On Line) and MTV and is getting played in several radio stations, including, KDWB, WKQI, KBFF, and WKSE.
The song has trendy electronic sounds and AKon is featured rapping in the song. Top artists, including, Rihanna, songwriter Cri$tyle, producers Lee Woo Seok and Rainstone, choreographer Jonte Moaning, and stylist Johnny Wujek worked together on the song.
A spokesperson for JYP Entertainment says, “Media outlets and music sites in the United states are paying attention to the song and giving it favorable reviews. Please support the Wonder Girls as they challenge the world market.”

The Wonder Girls recently celebrated the 2000th day since their debut.
On August 1, the Wonder Girls tweeted a photo with the caption “You are the reason we are here, and thanks to you, we can celebrate the 2000th day since our debut. Millions of thanks.”
In the photo, the wonderful girls strike a pose while Hae Lym, in the center, is holding a cake.
All the five girls look on the cloud nine while So Hee is leaning towards Hae Lym with her eyes closed.

What does Sunmi, the former member of the Wonder Girls, look like now?



Sunmi, who once performed as one of the Wonder Girls, was recently spotted online, attracting fans’ attention.

The Wonder Girls are selected as a singing group to represent Korea by the U.S. Billboard



Amid the world’s great interest in the London Olympics, the world music scene also held Musical Olympics.
On July 30 (local time), Billboard.com, the most renowned music magazine in the U.S., selected musicians that represent 40 countries under the title of Musical Olympics: 40 Countries’ Top Stars.
Billboard.com has selected musicians that represent each country based on the chart data and the sales record reported by the Nielsen Soundscan. It’s an interesting data that show each country’s representative musician who has ranked on the Billboard Chart.
The Korean musician selected by Billboard.com was the Wonder Girls. It’s because they made it to the Billboard 100 with an English version of the hit song “Nobody” in 2010. The Wonder Girls, currently active in Korea and Japan, are again mentioned by the Billboard Chart before releasing a new album in the U.S.
Rihanna has been selected as a singer that represents Barbados, an island near by Venezuela, and the world-famous diva Celine Dion and the teen idol Justin Bieber have been selected as singers to represent Canada.
Bob Marley for Jamaica, The Beatles for the U.K., Santana for Mexico, and Nicki Minaj has been selected for Trinidad and Tobago. Especially four singers, Elvis Presley, Madonna, Michael Jackson, and Garth Brooks, have been selected to represent the U.S.

2AM’s Jo Kwon recently showed a friendship with Sun Ye of the Wonder Girls.
On the afternoon of July 31, Jo Kwon tweeted some photos with the caption “Dear my friend, Sun Ye—I think we’ve been getting similar to each other after a long while.

Wonder Girls receive world wide attention



Girl group Wonder Girls is drawing a lot of attention thanks to their new digital song.
On July 11, JYP Entertainment said that the group’s new digital song “Like Money,” which was released on July 10, was introduced on several online sites, including, Billboard, AOL (America On Line), and All K-pop.
The Billboard said, “The Wonder Girls are Korean artists who entered the Top 100 list on Billboard for the first time in 2009 with their song “Nobody.” They will release an English album later this year.”
All K-pop said, “The Wonder Girls ranked first on several Korean music charts right after they released their new digital album. They are also in the lime light in the United States.”
Famous Celebrities are also promoting the song “Like Money.” Perez Hilton and Nick Cannon talked praised the Wonder Girls through their blog and Twitter account.
The song has ranked third in the Electronic category on iTunes.
A spokesperson for the agency says, “Media outlets and stars in the United States are showing their interest on the Wonder Girls and their new song. Please support the group as they go out into the world.”

The Wonder Girls recently released a new album jacket photo of their new U.S. single with Akon.
The Wonder Girls will release a new single in the U.S. on July 10 (local time). Before that, they announced their comeback by releasing three teaser videos and an album jacket photo of their new single, “Like Money,” in which Akon is featured.

Like Money is taking on more of a sci-fic, futuristic concept as the girls can be seen in futuristic outfits and concept. American R&B/hip-hop artist Akon will be featuring in this song as the teaser also shows Akon sitting down in a chair, his voice smoothly singing the lyrics.

The Wonder Girls, who came back to the music scene with “Like This” on June 6, released teaser artwork of their new digital single album, Like Money, on July 4. The teaser artwork, which hints the Wonder Girls’ extreme change, is increasing many people’s curiosity and expectations.
In March, JYP Entertainment’s Park Jin Young tweeted, “The world-renowned composers participated in the Wonder Girls’ new album and a music video, which is the largest of all music videos of the Wonder Girls in terms of scale, is also completed. Wonder Girls released a music video for their new song and received over 3 million hits on YouTube in only 3 days.
A music video for the title song “Like This” from Wonder Girls’ second mini album was released on June 3. It received over 3.41 million hits on YouTube, the world wide video site, on June 7.
A video of the Wonder Girls practicing their choreography for the song also drew a lot of attention by receiving over 200,000 hits on me2day. The song ranked first on Daum Music daily chart and Soribada chart.

Big Bang and Wonder Girls top the charts



The new songs of Big Bang and Wonder Girls are receiving favorable reviews from people.
On June 3 at midnight, YG Entertainment released the songs of Big Bang’s new album, including the lead track “Monster.”
“Monster” is co-composed by Big Bang’s G-Dragon and composer Choi Phil Gang. It’s an electronic dance song characterized by Big Bang’s distinctive, addictive, and emotional melody.
Immediately after the song was released, it topped the real-time charts of such major music sites as Melon, Olleh Music, Mnet, Bugs, and Monkey 3.

The each unique pose by the members and facial look are also so distinctive that the expectations for the album have been getting higher and higher.
