Lee Seung Gi holds a fan meeting in Taiwan: “I love Taiwanese food”

Lee Seung Gi was warmly received by his Taiwanese fans. China Photo Press recently reported that Lee is currently popular in Taiwan because many drama series, starring Lee, are airing in many Chinese-speaking countries.

On September 2, Lee held a fan meeting in Taiwan. It was his first visit to Taiwan, but he was as popular as other Hallyu stars. He attracted many female fans’ attention with his gentle smile.

Lee said hello to his fans in Chinese. He also received an enthusiastic response by speaking some Taiwanese in dialect. He also talked about his days in Taiwan.

Lee said, “I had a lot of delicious food in Taiwan. I had xiaolongbao, beef noodle soup, fried rice, and bubble tea. I had seven dishes of xiaolongbao.”

Lee also said, “I was offered to eat stinky tofu, but I couldn’t. I’ll eat xiaolongbao for dinner instead because I like it.”

Lee got the Taiwanese fans excited by saying he’s a romantic person and he’s now going out with his Taiwanese fans. He also said he has been learning how to cook, and he makes good spaghetti.”

Lee Seung Gi: “I will definitely join the Army, I just don’t know when”

Top star Lee Seung Gi recently talked about the rumors regarding him joining the Army next year.

On August 10, Lee’s agency, Hook Entertainment, said, “The news that saying Lee will join the Army next year is not true.”

On the same day, a media outlet reported on Lee and said that he would join the Army next year. The outlet even guessed that he would serve his duty as an ordinary soldier.

A spokesperson for the agency says, “He will definitely join the Army when it is time for him to join. We don’t know why these kinds of rumors keep coming out.”

“We just don’t know when he will join the Army. Lee and the agency have never talked about when will be the best time to join the Army.”

Lee was born in January, 1987. He graduated Dongguk University in February, 2009 and received his master’s degree at the same University.

According to the agency, Lee has been taking break since he completed shooting MBC’s series The King 2 Hearts in May. He is currently preparing for his Asian fan meetings in response to his worldwide fans and considering his next job as well.

Lee will start holding fan meetings on August 25 in Singapore and will go to other Asian countries, including, Taiwan and Indonesia.

Infinite, FT Island, and Lee Seung Gi are in the Top 10 on the Oricon

Infinite, FT Island, and Lee Seung Gi recently entered the Top 10 list on the Oricon chart with their new albums.

On April 19, according to the Oricon, Infinite’s second Japanese single Be Mine, which was released on April 18, ranked second on daily single chart selling over 30,000 copies on the day of its release.

The single is the Japanese version of Korean song “Be Mine,” which has become very popular last year.

FT Island also released their new single Neverland on the same day and showed off their power by ranking eighth.

Lee Seung Gi’s Japanese best album, which was released on April 18, ranked sixth on the Oricon daily chart on the day of its release.

KARA’s second Japanese album Super Girls, which was released in November of last year, ranked third on the latest weekly album chart and drew a lot of attention. The first successful concert, which was held on April 14 and 15 in Yokohama, during their Japanese tour influenced the ranking.

Lee Seung Gi and Ha Ji Won change into royal family members

Lee Seung Gi and Ha Ji Won have changed into royal family members in the poster of MBC TV’s new drama series The King 2 Hearts.

On March 7, Kim Jong Hak Productions released a poster of The King 2 Hearts.

The King 2 Hearts is a love story between Kim Hang Ah (Ha Ji Won), a drill sergeant of the North Korean special forces, and Lee Jae Ha (Lee Seung Gi), a reckless, arrogant prince of South Korea. Based on an imaginary setting that South Korea is a constitutional monarchy, they go through prejudice against each other, the boundary between the two countries, and their social status to achieve love.

In the poster, the mixed feelings that the two characters have toward each other in the series are clearly shown.

According to reports, Lee and Ha impressed the crew with their perfect teamwork at the poster shoot on February 14. Without taking much time, they created perfect shots. The crew praised them saying, “This couple will surely make a hit in the first half of 2012.”

Kim Jong Hak Productions says, “Lee Seung Gi and Ha Ji Won satisfied the crew with their perfect teamwork from the poster shoot. The King 2 Hearts is directed by Lee Jae Gyu and written by Hong Jin Ah, who also made Beethoven Virustogether. It stars Lee Seung Gi, Ha Ji Won, Yoon Jae Moon, Lee Yoon Ji, Jo Jung Suk, Lee Soon Jae, and Yoon Yeo Jung.

Lee Seung Gi visits a girl who had a spare-part surgery

A 7-year-old girl who had a spare-part surgery has recently fulfilled her wish to meet Lee Seung Gi.

Jo Eun Seo, who received a big surgical operation to transplant her seven organs, has recently met Lee Seung Gi at Seoul Asan Hospital.
Jo was born with a rare disease and couldn’t digest food at all, so she had to receive a big transplant operation last October. Total seven organs – liver, small intestine, pancreas, stomach, duodenum, large intestine, and spleen – were transplanted to Jo from a brain-dead patient of her age.
When Jo was about to receive the transplant operation, she said she wanted to meet Lee Seung Gi.
At this, Lee willingly visited Jo in the hospital.
This has become known to people as Congressman Jung Mong Jun tweeted about Lee’s visit to Jo on February 28.
Jung tweeted, “Lee Seung Gi had a fun talk with Eun Seo, gave her a hug, and also gave her lots of gifts. I think it will be a good memory for her. I gave her tennis shoes and a scholarship, wishing that she can quickly recover her health and have fun with her friends at school. Please cheer for her!”
On March 4, a spokesperson for Lee Seung Gi said, “After hearing about Jo, Lee Seung Gi willingly went to Asan Hospital to meet her. He wishes that Jo can grow up healthy as she went through the big surgical operation.
