Teen Top reaches the top of Japanese Tower Records with their new EP

Teen Top is arising as the next generation K pop star.

According to T.O.P Media on August 24, Teen Top ranked first place on Japanese Tower Record’s K-pop Chart for the second week of August(8.13~8.19). They reached the top with the mini EP, Be Ma Girl that has been released in Korea on August 3.

Teen Top consists of six members: C.A.P, Chunji, LJoe, Niel, Ricky, and Changjo. They gained popularity since their debut in 2010. They have not made an official debut in Japan yet.

Previously in June, Teen Top held their solo concert, Teen Top Zepp Tour 2012 in three major cities of Japan: Osaka, Nagoya, and Tokyo.

Teen Top will appear on KBS 2TV’s Music Bank on August 24, MBC’s Music Center on August 25, and SBS’sInkigayo on August 26 and perform “Be Ma Girl.”

Teen Top take pictures with an arrogant cat and a cute puppy

On August 23, Teen Top uploaded some pictures on their me2day and Twitter accounts.

Chunji uploaded a picture of himself in a friendly pose with a cat, which has an arrogant face, with the comment, “She was so cold-hearted and kept ignoring me, but she eventually allowed me to take a picture as I kept showing my affection for her. Meow~.”

Ricky also uploaded a picture of himself with a lovely poodle with the comment, “She was so cute and lovely that she immediately captivated my heart!!! I took this picture because I was sad to say good-bye to her. I’ll miss you.”

Teen Top’s C.A.P has sexy hips

Teen Top’s C.A.P recently showed off his sexy hip.

C.A.P shot a pictorial for the September issue of the men’s fashion magazine L’officiel Hommes and showed off his sexy charms in powerful leopard and oriental patterned clothes.

His clearly defined pubic bone was exposed between his shirt and pants and captured women’s hearts by earning nickname Handsome Hip. He showed off his secret manly charms through the pictorial.

A spokesperson for the magazine says, “We decided to shoot the pictorial with a male idol star and we found how manly C.A.P is. His strong side is perfect for the magazine and we tried to emphasize his masculine appearance with his deep eyes.

Teen Top recently released a few pictures of themselves.

On August 20, Teen Top uploaded a few pictures of themselves on their official me2day account.

Niel says, “We try to look cool. We’re Daechidong style. The angle of 45 degrees is Ricky’s style to make his chin look sharp. We had a lot of fun in this photo shoot because we could try many different styles.” In one of the pictures, Ricky and Niel are showing off their handsome faces with blue and green hair.

In another picture, L.Joe shows off his chic look behind a window. He says, “A nice snapshot of myself taken during the photo shoot! I’m releasing this for the angels who cannot go to bed on this rainy day. It’ll rain harder tomorrow. Take your umbrella and be careful not to catch a cold. Sleep tight.”

Teen Top prepares for autumn with splendid clothes and colorful hair

Group Teen Top recently started preparing for autumn.

Teen Top portrayed funky boys in animal printed clothes with colorful hairstyles while shooting a pictorial for the fashion magazine Vogue Girl.

Their splendid and colorful shoes are also drawing a lot of attention.

The group also talked honestly about their title song “Will You Go Out With Me?”

The members sometimes confused the reporter by giving weird answers and talking about their first proposals and presents that they want to give to their girlfriends.

Teen Top say, “We want to be together for a long time like Shinhwa”

A pictorial of Teen Top was recently published.

Currently promoting their new song, “Will You Go Out With Me?” Teen Top did a photo shoot and an interview for the September issue of the fashion magazine Elle Girl.

Releasing three singles and three EPs for two years, Teen Top is currently appealing to many girls with “Will You Go Out With Me?” Unlike their strong image, which is represented by the provocative lyrics and the perfect group dance of their songs, they were actually very nice and polite.

In the interview, Niel was asked, ”Do you usually ask a girl out with confidence like the name of your latest song?” and he said, “I’m not that confident unless I’m on the stage, so I don’t think I can.”

Changjo said, “I’m nowadays enjoying skateboarding with other members,” and L.Joe showed his passion for music and performance by saying writing his own songs as a goal for this year.

Teen Top also said, “We want to be together for a long time like Shinhwa, working individually and together.”

TEEN TOP goes all black for new ‘Be Ma Girl’ MV teaser

Boy group TEEN TOP has released a new MV teaser for upcoming summer special single Will You Go Out With Me?.

The teaser pictures have been refreshing as they portray the six members in a different and brighter light, a look that is a 180 degree turn from their previous release. An MV teaser was released a few days ago, with the members in glow-in-the-dark outfits and now, the group has released a second MV teaser for title track Be Ma Girl. This time, all members look slick in their black outfits, giving fans a new look.

Check out Teen Top’s new “traffic light” hair

Recently, Teen Top members revealed their new hair which became known as the “traffic light” hair.

Before the release of the song “Be Ma Girl” on August 3, the group has built up more expectations over the song by giving some change to their hair which reminded viewers of a traffic light.

On July 31, a picture was posted on the account of Teen Top on Me2day with the comment “I immediately came up with this word when I saw the colors of Chang Jo, Chun Ji hyung, and Ricky’s new hair. Guess which of the following words I’m thinking:  no.1 the Olympic flag or no.2 traffic light. It you get it right, you’re the cool guy.” The picture shows members with new hair of red, yellow, and blue color.

TEEN TOP releases ‘Be ma girl’ MV teaser

Boy group TEEN TOP will be releasing a special summer single for fans.

The single, Will You Go Out With Me?, will contain four tracks, which was revealed by the group’s agency, TOP Media. The single will feature a 180 degree change from their previous release, To You, and judging by the MV teaser which was released on the 28th, it will surely be a fun and playful song and MV.

Teen Top eats chicken for the dog days of summer

Teen Top recently took a group picture for the first day of the dog days of summer.

On July 18, Teen Top tweeted a picture with the comment, “Today is the beginning of the first period of the dog days of summer, so we had a delicious chicken dinner last night! The real heat wave is coming. Eat delicious food and escape from the summer heat.”

In the picture, Ricky, Chunji, and L.Joe are eating chicken. It looks like they don’t even care about if their picture is taken or not and it made many people laugh.

Congratulations on Teen Top’s second anniversary

Idol group Teen Top recently had their second anniversary.

On July 10, many people posted congratulation notes on the group’s official fan club and me2day account with the caption, “Congratulations on Teen Top’s second anniversary.”

Teen Top debuted in 2010 by releasing their single album Come into the World. They has become very popular with their hit songs “No More Perfume on You” and “Crazy.”

Their average age was 16.3 when they just got debuted but after 2 years from then, group members have transformed from boys into men.

Even though they were young, they showed off their manly charms and their strict group dance captured the female fans’ hearts.

A Boyz Nite Out Party In Singapore!

15 June 2012, a one-night only music extravaganza bringing not 1 but 5 of the hottest Korean acts on one stage. Launch Entertainment once again impresses with ‘Boyz Nite Out’. An impressive lineup of idol groupsSHINee, B1A4, Teen Top, 7.9.4.2 and the multi-talented soloist Jay Park blew the audience away at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

A strong 3000 over fans turned up and filled the stadium, some rushing for their seats as the concert started puntcually at 7pm. The energy was high as Teen Top opened the night with ‘To You‘ followed by their hit songs ‘Girlfriend’, ‘No More Perfume on You’ and ‘Crazy’. 

Up next flying high with their youth and cheeky boyish charm was B1A4 with ‘Beautiful Target’. A birthday celebration was held for member CNU who turned 22. The birthday boy appeared overwhelmed with emotions as fans sang the birthday song in korean. He was then presented with a birthday cake and a fan-made scrapbook. His birthday wish for the night was that “B1A4 and BANAs to stay together forever.” 

Rookie ballad group 7.9.4.2 got the fans swaying and waving along to their strong smooth vocals. Off their debut album and the ost for their Indonesia-collaborated drama, they sang ’I'll Be Famous’ and ‘More Than I See You’. They got close to fans in the standing pit, and consistently waved and showed their warmth.

“Since we are in Singapore which is such a beautiful city, of course we prepared more than just these 2 songs”. And so the men of 7.9.4.2 broke into a medley of Korean songs, which includes ‘Paradise’, the theme song of popular k-drama ‘Boys Over Flowers’.

Multi-talented soloist(singer, rapper, song-writer, bboy, and what have you!) Jay Park brought the show to a peak with his smooth choreography and X-factor. He performed a total of 8 songs. However, a special 3 songs sets this performance apart from his New Breed promotional showcase. He seduced the crowd with‘Turn Off Your Phone’ thereafter surprising everyone by singing 2 of his mixtape tracks, ‘Do What We Do’ and‘Body2Body’.

By all means, the hottest act of the night, Jay took off his white singlet and showed off his well-defined tanned torso during his last song. We hear he had been to the gym twice before the concert to prepare the eye-feast specially for fans!

With everyone already up on their feet and screaming for more, the final anticipated act SHINee appeared with a bang! Pearlescent blue lights, the official fancolor, accompanied SHINee’s performance. They brought Shawols(fans) down the memory lane with debut song ‘Replay’ and hits like ‘Ring Ding Dong‘ and ‘Lucifer‘.

The boys explained the reason behind member Minho‘s absence, that was due to a clash in filming schedule. With a promise to be back as 5 again, the remaining four filled up the gap and impressively took over Minho’s parts. The night ended with the synchronized performance of their comeback track ‘Sherlock‘.

Launch Entertainment Brings The Boys Out!

Another mega concert is being organized by Launch Entertainment, a Singapore organizer. ‘Boyz Nite Out Kpop Festival’ has an impressive lineup of 4 boygroups and a soloist. SHINee, B1A4, Teen Top, 7.9.4.2 andJay Park are going to be sharing the stage on June 15 in the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

SHINee - Debuted with popular hit Replay, attracting even the older fans with their catchy lyric “noona neomu yeoppo”. They swiftly formed a massive fanbase of all ages and have been topping music charts and bagging awards since their debut. Their latest concept enshrouded in mystery, specifically Sherlock, won them a triple crown in music shows.

B1A4 – Short for ‘Be the One All for One’, it also represents the members’ bloodtype. They were introduced via a unique way, through an online comic concept (webtoon). Debuted in 2011 with title track O.K. Currently in the midst of releasing teasers for their ‘Ignition’ repackage album.

Teen Top – Debuted in 2010 under TOP Media which is founded by Shinhwa‘s Andy.
Their debut track’s MV ’Clap‘ had After School Lizzy featured in it. They also took part and performed during Sundown Festival in Singapore last year.

Jay Park - Known for his swag, the b-boy and soloist was recently in town for his New Breed album promotion tour. He will be headlining Verizon’s APAHM tour in the USA in May. On 16 May, Jay Park released his first mixtape ‘Fresh A!r; Breathe !t’. Consisting of 6 English songs, they were uploaded online and free for download.

7.9.4.2 – Also called ‘Chilgusai‘ (CGSE), following the korean pronounciation of the numbers. The group recently debuted in April 2012 with the song ‘I’ll Be Famous’. Prior to their debut, they were casted in a Korea-Indonesia collaborative drama called ‘I Love You…‘ which is set to air in July.

On May 31, TEEN TOP released some of their pictures while chatting with their fans on their official me2day account.

In one of the pictures, leader Ricky is acting cute, making rabbit ears with his hands and winking. On the picture, he wrote, “Rabbit Ricky.”

In another picture, with a short message that says, “Ricky’s cute action,” Ricky is holding TEEN TOP’s third mini-album and winking and Niel is pretending to shoot at the camera with his fingers.

T.O.P. Media, the agency of TEEN TOP, released the official MV for ‘TO YOU’ at 4:00 PM KST and already, the MV has been met with much excited praise and comments from fans, who flocked to the MV the moment it was released. They gushed that the MV was beautiful and the boys looked amazing with their different hairstyles and grown-up look. Teen Top’s Niel calls a radio program, “I want to catch two hares”

Teen Top’s Niel recently talked about his worries on a radio program.

The May 31 episode of MBC Radio FM4U This is Sweet Sorrow received a surprise phone call. Sweet Sorrow asked the caller to tell his name, and he surprised the audience by saying, “I have the same name as Teen Top’s Niel.”

He added, “I’m in my third year of high school and I also have another job. I want to catch two hares.” Sweet Sorrow finally heard that the group will appear on the radio program.

People responded: “I was surprised to hear Niel.” “It was the real Niel! This is daebak.” “It was so funny that I laughed out loud.”

Teen Top holds an inauguration ceremony of its fan club

“Idol” group Teen Top has revealed a self-portrait on the day of its fan club’s inauguration.

On May 28, L. Joe uploaded a picture on the group’s Me2day account and commented, “Today we have inauguration ceremony of our first fan club called ‘Angel.’ Yoohoo~ Here’s Ricky next to me pretending to be all that lol”

In the picture, he is making a warm smile while Ricky is pretending to be “all that” just like he has mentioned. Their different poses create contrary atmosphere, and Ricky’s black-and-white costume draw particular attention with its distinctive design.

Netizens who saw the posting commented: “They look cute.” “I really wanted to participate in the event with you… ” “You all look gorgeous.” “Ricky oppa rocks!”

TEEN TOP to return with ‘Artist’ on May 30th

After impressing KPOP fans with their third mini-album “It’s” and title track “Going Crazy” in which they won their first ever awards since their music debut, TEEN TOP will be returning to the music scene on May 30th with newly revealed fourth mini-album title “Artist”.

The official Twitter of TEEN TOP tweeted, “Wa…Artist TEEN TOP has released some new pictures k k I will go look at them!” The album cover above was first revealed on the group’s official website and depicts the boys in a much different light than previously seen before. They sport different toned hair colors, their clothes speckled with a grunge theme. It’s a unique picture and does show off their artistic sides. One can only imagine what the songs will sound like.

Teen Top gives a spectacular performance on the first Korean Cruise

Boy group Teen Top was selected as a representative k-pop “idol” and has given a spectacular performance on the first cruise of the Republic of Korea, the Harmony Cruise.

On March 17, the group gave a successful performance on the cruise which departed from Osaka, Japan and headed to Incheon via Jeju Island.

Many fans gathered on the cruise from Osaka to join the fan meeting held with a special concept and to enjoy a performance of Teen Top. Some of the fans even showed tears of joy and collapsed, feeling their legs get weakened because they were overjoyed about having a “talk time” with the group. They asked individual questions and got involved in a conversation.

In addition, many Japanese press companies, including Asahi TV’s Morning Bird, showed interest over Teen Top’s performance on deck.

The company which organized the cruise fan meeting says, “The tourists who take the cruise are generally from an old age group. So in order to motivate younger generation to get on the cruise, we’ve decided to invite Teen Top as the first k-pop artist aboard because they are considered the leading k-pop star in Japan.”

Teen Top says, “It was a unique experience to have a fan meeting on a new stage, the cruise. We’re now inspired to meet our fans on many different settings.”

On March 21, Teen Top is performing at the 2012 Canadian Music Festival which will be held in Toronto, Canada, expanding its activity ranges from Asia to North America.

TEEN TOP faces a risky car accident on the Taiwanese wet road

TEEN TOP had to face a risky situation because Taiwanese fans were pushfully all over.
On March 11, TEEN TOP was visiting Taiwan to meet local fans. Wherever TEEN TOP goes, the fans were keeping close eyes on their every move via individual vehicles or taxies. On the way to a fan meeting event hall, some of the taxies slipped on the wet road and had collisions each other. The accident almost led to a serious result against fans and TEEN TOP. It took quite a time to clear the road after the accident that traffic on the road was paralyzed.
Fortunately no one was hurt. Only when TEEN TOP assured themselves of fans’ safety, they started moving to the event hall to meet Taiwanese fans.
TEEN TOP successfully completed the fan meeting along with about 2,000 fans, receiving favorable reviews by local media. They have been gaining more popularity even in Europe and Americas as well as in Asia.
