4MINUTE’s past: Not Huyn Ah but Ji Yoon and Ga Yoon were trouble makers



Some members of 4MINUTE revealed their troubled past. Two members of 4MUNITE were once kicked out of their agency when they were trainees. (Now, luckily for us, they are in the group though.)
4MINUTE had an interview with the episode of KBS2’s Entertainment News that aired on April 28 at Hongdae area, and exposed this shocking story.
While talking about visiting Hongdae, which is one of the busies area filled with countless youth, members were reminded of their past. One of them fessed up, “When we were trainees, we caused plenty of troubles. Not minor ones, really.”
Heo Ga Yoon said, “Once, we made a big trouble and headed to Hongdae with all of our mobiles off.” Jeon Ji Yoon added, “We couldn’t turn them on as we were really chickened out. Later, when we turn them on at midnight, there were over hundred missed calls. It came to light that the agency made calls to our friends as well as our parents in searching for us. That was it. Ga Yoon and I were kicked out of the agency, and that made the debut of 4MINUTE delayed.”

Big Bang top the pop charts with their duet song with Pixie Lott



Big Bang topped the pop charts.
“Dancing On My Own,” a new song of the popular British singer Pixie Lott, topped the pop charts on April 30 immediately after it was released. Big Bang’s G-Dragon and T.O.P were featured in the song.
The song received wide attention in Korea even before it was released. It ranked first on such real-time charts as Naver Music, Bugs, Soribada, and Olleh Music.
G-Dragon and T.O.P played distinctive roles in the song as a rapper and a vocalist. Pixie Lott asked G-Dragon and T.O.P to work together after she heard their music on YouTube.
Pixie Lott is coming to Korea in May to promote her new album. She’s going to stay in Korea for three days to celebrate the release of the de luxe version of her album in Asia.
Born in 1991, Pixie Lott is a singer-songwriter and an actress. Her debut single album Mama Do, released in June 2009, ranked first on the single charts, and she was selected as the most promising new artist in 2010 by the U.S. Billboard magazine. In 2010, she received three awards at Brit Awards.

Super Junior successfully hold Super Show 4 in Indonesia



Super Junior successfully held Super Show 4 in Indonesia.
The Super Junior World Tour Super Show 4 in Jakarta was held at Mata Elang International Stadium in Jakarta, Indonesia, for three days from April 27 to 29. It was successfully held with an enthusiastic response from nearly 25,000 fans in Indonesia.
As the concert is the first exclusive concert of Super Junior held in Indonesia, thousands of fans swarmed over to the ticket office to buy the tickets on April 7, and traffic was held up by them. In the hot weather, some fans even fainted near the ticket office. Several Indonesian media sources paid close attention to this situation.
At the enthusiastic response, Super Junior decided to hold one more concert in Indonesia, and Super Junior became the first overseas artist that held three consecutive concerts and attracted the most audiences in Indonesia.
On April 26, thousands of fans swarmed over to Soekarno–Hatta International Airport to see Super Junior. At a press interview held on April 28 right before the concert, several media sources such as Trans TV, SCTV, and Gaul attended and competed to cover Super Junior.
At the concert, Super Junior performed their hit songs, such as “Sorry Sorry,” “Bonamana,” “Mr. Simple,” and gave individual performances. EXO-M appeared as special guests and received an enthusiastic response by performing “MAMA” and “History.”
The Indonesian audiences sang along with Super Junior, waving blue glow-in-the-dark sticks, and enthusiastically cheered for Super Junior throughout the concert. They also touched the members by spreading placards that read “ELF♥SJ FOREVER.”
Super Junior will hold the next Super Show at Tokyo Dome in Japan on May 12 and 13, expecting to attract about 100,000 audiences.

SNSD-Tae Ti Seo’s “Twinkle” is released



“Twinkle” of Tae Ti Seo, a unit group from SNSD, was recently released.
Released on April 29 at midnight, Taeyeon, Tiffany, and Seohyun’s “Twinkle” is currently hot among people online.
“Twinkle,” the lead track of Tae Ti Seo’s first album, is a medium tempo dance song of the punk soul genre, accompanied by a modern rhythm. It reminds people of Stevie Wonder’s music in the 70s and 80s.
The straightforward and daring lyrics about a girl who wants to appeal to others are rhythmically expressed in the members’ mature voices and a groove.
People responded: “The song’s really nice,” “Go! Tae Ti Seo!”

SNSD’s Jessica invited to a launching event of Burberry



Recently, SNSD’s Jessica appeared at the opening event of Burberry Taipei flagship store as a representative of Korea.
On April 28, SM Entertainment reported that SNSD’s Jessica participated at the launching event of the famous brand Burberry in Thailand as a representative of Korea on April 26.
She honored the place with other celebrities around the world and proved her popularity as a global star.
The star was invited by Christopher Bailey, the Chief Creative Officer of Burberry. Reporters around the world showed enthusiastic reaction to her appearance.
In February last year, Bailey also invited SNSD’s Tiffany, Yoona, and Seohyun to 2012 F/W Burberry Prorsum Women’s Collection. As he invited another member to the recent event, he recognized SNSD’s status in fashion industry.
Currently, SNSD members are working in various fields: Yoona and Yuri star in KBS’s Love Rain and SBS’sFashion King while Taeyeon, Tiffany, and Seohyun formed a unit group called TaeTiSeo.

A boy group of seventeen members by Pledis is coming soon


A boy group of seventeen members is coming soon.
Agency Pledis, representing Son Dam Bi, After School, NU’EST, and others, are preparing the debut of a boy group. Seventeen (the group’s tentative name), consisting of seventeen members, aims to make its debut later this year.
The group with the most members so far, is SM’s Super Junior, which aims to advance overseas markets. However, Seventeen, consisting of seventeen members of their average age of seventeen, is to take over the title.
Pledis set a different strategy whereby the group will make its debut in overseas markets as well as in domestic market rather than making a debut in domestic and advancing to overseas by a conventional strategy.
All the seventeen members will be divided into three units to promote themselves in Korea, China, and Japan. Of course, they include Chinese members for the localization.
On April 26, a representative of Pledis stated, “We’ve been preparing the team to cover China and Japan, as well as Korea for a long time. “
The agency also has a girl group to make a debut earlier in May, which is named Hello Venus.

SHINee’s Tae Min asks how to find a good spouse


SHINee, who has hit the ground running with their song “Sherlock,” will appear on tvN’s talk show Taxi.
On April 26, tvN said that SHINee will appear on the show, which will air on April 26, and talk about when they were trainees and who worked hard to become a K-pop representative idol group.

Has a war of nerves between IU and her agency occurred?


Singer IU is drawing a lot of attention starting a war of nerves with her agency, Loen Entertainment.
On April 25, the agency tweeted, “Request Sunny Hill’s “Prince and Prince Charming” to radio programs and receive ‘Asia Prince’ T-shirts! We will choose 10 people randomly and give the T-shirts with Sunny Hill’s autograph.”
IU commented, “Who is going to request the song to receive the T-shirt?” Then the agency made people laugh by saying, “You are making this difficult.”
The agency made people laugh out loud once more by tweeting a picture of IU wearing the T-shirt with the comment, “Please request the song.”

T-ara’s Hyomin looks like shes going to break her legs


T-ara’s Hyomin is getting a lot of attention thanks to her skinny legs.
On April 26, Hyomin tweeted pictures with the comment, “I’m taking a photo shoot for a magazine. I have to shoot 7 magazines today. Weather is nice. Let’s get my head straight.”
In the pictures, Hyomin is showing off her skinny legs in a mini dress. Her doll-like face and figure captured the public’s attention.

SISTAR’s Bora and miss A’s Suzy competed against to each other to find out who is more beautiful.
On April 25, SISTAR posted a picture on their official Google Plus account with the comment, “Where are we? Japan! Appearing at a Japanese concert for the first time in along time! Nice to see you!”
Bora and Suzy took the picture together and their close friendship drew a lot of attention.

Recently, 4Minute’s Hyun Ah and So Hyun showed off their milky skin.

nfinite comes second on Oricon chart


Boy band Infinite’s single “Be Mine” has landed on the No. 2 spot on Oricon’s weekly chart. The song was released in Japan on March 18, and it sold more than 50,473 copies in its first week.
“Be Mine” was a hit in Korea last year, which compelled the group to record it in Japanese. The album also contained the songs “Over the Top” and “Julia.”
Infinite’s first Japanese single “BTD,” released last November, sold 26,000 copies in its first week and landed on the seventh spot on the weekly chart when it was released.
The band held a special fan meet and performance in Tokyo on April 25, and will also meet fans in Osaka on April 27 and Fukuoka on April 30.

SNSD-Tae Ti Seo’s new album is a retro style


SNSD’s first unit group Tae Ti Seo are releasing retro dance music.
Tae Ti Seo will release “Twinkle,” the lead track of their first mini-album, on iTunes on April 29. On April 30, all tracks will be released on iTunes, and they will also be released offline on May 2.
Tae Yeon, Tiffany, and Seohyun’s “Twinkle” is a medium tempo dance song of a modern punk soul style. Its arrangement reminds people of the style of Stevie Wonder in the 70s and 80s. The lyrics are straightforward and the three members’ voices are impressive. The distinctive voice of each member characterizes the song.
Tae Ti Seo’s new album includes various genres of music that perfectly suits Taeyeon, Tiffany, and Seohyun’s voices.
“Baby Steps,” a medium-tempo R&B song with a classy groove, is about a girl who doesn’t have much courage but tries to approach to people she loves. “OMB (Oh My God)” is an electronic retro pop dance song, accompanied by a vintage yet trendy rhythm.
Total seven songs are listed in the album, including “Love Sick,” which beautifully describes a girl’s first love, and “Good-bye, Hello,” which is about the next day of break-up.
SNSD-Tae Ti Seo will perform “Twinkle” for the first time on Mnet’s M Countdown on May 3.
