NU’EST appears at ‘K-Dream Live Concert’

New group NU’EST recently gave the opening performance for the ‘K-Dream Live Concert,’ which was held at the Tokyo Dome in Japan.

Even though it was the group’s first time performing in Japan, they gave a splendid performance and received big cheers amid a storm of applause.

The concert was held at the Tokyo Dome, one of the biggest concert venues in Japan. Besides NU’EST, various singers, including, Choshinsung, My Name, and Infinite, appeared at the concert.

People responded: “They are good at performing on the big stage.” “They will have Japanese fans now.” “I hope they will be successful both in Korea and Japan.” “They are a promising group.”

NU’EST’s Aron greets fans through Facebook

NU’EST’s Aron has left a message to international fans on Facebook.

Greeting fans through the group’s official Facebook, Aron, the eldest member in NU’EST, also shared two selcas that he thought turned out well.

He wrote,

“Hey everyone! This is Aron again! 
How are you guys doing? I hope well… it’s been a while so I was curious as to how our international fans were doing. (:
I took a few photos over the past few days (and they came out pretty well if I may say so myself) haha. (: I hope you guys enjoy~
We’re going to Japan this Saturday to perform at the Tokyo Dome!
It’s our first international performance so we’re really nervous… 
Please show your love and support for us if you’re gonna be out there this weekend! (:
Anyways, enough about us. How are you guys? Enjoying summer vacation I assume? Hehe I wonder when we’ll have a vacation~

The top picture appears to be taken from the set of the group’s recent CeCi photoshoot, while the second picture looks to be taken in a car. Nonetheless, those two pictures did come out very well.

In other news, NU’EST has been promoting 1st mini-album Action and will be performing at the Tokyo Dome on July 28th for the K-Dream Live Concert.

NU’EST is appointed an honorary ambassador of Korea Scout Association

NU’EST was recently appointed an honorary ambassador of Korea Scout Association.

On July 18, Korea Scout Association held an event for the appointment and granted the group the appointment certificate.

The Association is one of the biggest groups of young people. The World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM) is the non-governmental international organization which governs most national Scout Organizations, with 31 million members. Korea Scout Association consists of 20 bureaus and about 370,000 members.

“All the members of NU’EST consist of teenagers and the group is renowned for representing teenagers on behalf of them. With all those background, we chose the group as an honorary ambassador.”

Having been appointed as an honorary ambassador, NU’EST will take part in various promotions for Korea Scout Association.

NU’EST is selected as the best new singing group of 2012

New singing group NU’EST, who recently released their first EP titled “Action,” was selected as the best new singing group of 2012 in a survey conducted by an overseas website.

For two weeks, nearly 250,000 people participated in this survey, conducted by an overseas website named  Seoulbeat. Around 110,000 (43.23%) voted for NU’EST, and NU’EST was selected as the best new singing group.

Seoulbeat is an overseas website that delivers news about K-pop. Carrying out surveys of various subjects, it’s popular among many overseas K-pop fans.

Pledis Entertainment, NU’EST’s agency, says, “We’re very happy to hear that NU’EST was selected as the best new K-pop singing group of 2012 despite the fact that it’s been only four months since they made their debut. To thank the overseas fans of NU’EST, NU’EST members are currently preparing to hold a concert in Japan this month. They’ll also visit other countries soon.”

NU’EST released their first EP, “Action,” on July 11 and are currently receiving a lot of attention by presenting a charismatic, manly performance for the song.

NU’EST shares an adorable picture from Music Bank backstage

Boy group NU’EST has made a return on July 11th with mini-album Action and following their comeback appearance on Music Bank, the five members took a picture.

Attached to the picture was the following tweet, “Music Bank comeback is complete! Our L.O.V.Es, who cheered more loudly today than anyone else, are the best!!!!♥♥♥♥  Our L.O.V.E.s who cheer for each nerve-wracking stage!! Thank you very much♥♥ See you tomorrow!”

The members look very adorable as they are all smiles for the camera. NU’EST will continue with their comeback stages on Music Core and Inkigayo.

NU’EST Returns With ‘Action’ MV

Pledis Entertainment’s boygroup NU’EST is back with their first mini-album titled ‘Action’. Having announced their comeback last month, photo and MV teasers have gotten fans excited about the full release.

In metallic silver outfits and new hairstyles, the boys are seen with a more upgraded mature aura in the music video. According to Pledis Entertainment, this mini-album intends to bring out the message of freedom and to bring awareness regarding violence amongst teenagers.

The mini-album also includes 3 other songs, ‘Not Over You’, ‘Sandy’ and ‘Happy Birthday’. NU’EST debuted earlier in March with title track ‘Face’. Just like its previous hit song, ‘Action’ is boasting of over 61K views on Youtube after just a day of its release. The album can be purchased through online music sites like Soribada and Bugs.

NU’EST unveils new ‘Action’ teaser

After releasing a short MV teaser for upcoming song Action, the boys of NU’EST take it one step further as agency Pledis has released a new 1-minute teaser.

JR had previously let fans know of this new teaser during the group’s first movie date with fans in Busan. He also mentioned that the concept was ‘sexier’ this time and indeed, the group doesn’t disappoint with their good looks and precise dancing.

NU’EST reveals official fanclub name and birthday plans

NU’EST, Pledis’ newest boy group, has been one of 2012′s hottest rookie boy bands so far. With their signature sound style being ‘urban electric’ and a unique look, they’ve been quickly capturing the hearts of fan girls and fan boys alike since their début. It’s not surprising then that Pledis has soon come up with their official fanclub name, which was revealed this week.

The NU’EST fanclub name will be called L.O.Λ.E! Although it’s not NU’TELLA like many NU’EST fans were comically hoping for, it does make sense when looked at.

The reason behind the NU’EST fan club name was explained via their official twitter account. In hangeul, NU’EST is written as 뉴이스트. If you take the first character from every syllable, you end up with ᄂᄋᄉᄐ. This  then looks like the word LOVE in English, or L.O.Λ.E (러브) as it will be written as officially. This is a stylish and sleek name for this group’s fanclub and suits them well. In the future, NU’EST are certainly bound to receive lots of love and support from all the L.O.Λ.Es!

As well as announcing the new fanclub name, Pledis have also revealed plans for members JR and Aron’s birthdays. There will be a birthday party fans can attend and there’s also an opportunity for fans to send in their own birthday messages to JR and Aron over the internet. This means foreign fans can also participate in the celebrations!
