Singer and actor Kim Hyun Joong started his Asia fan meeting tour.

Previously on May 4, Kim started his fan meeting at Singapore Indoor Stadium with 3,000 fans.

The event started with the grand music and fancy laser show. Kim performed “Break Down” “Lucky Guy” and other hit songs. He later had a talk show and spent quality time with his fans.

Not only that, Kim randomly drew five lots and the five lucky fans played a few games with Kim.

Later on, Kim captivated many women’s hearts by singing sweet ballad songs such as “Thank You” I’m Your man” “If You Were Like Me” and “One More Time.”

Kim will continue his tour to Hong Kong, Taiwan, and China.

Recently on KBS 2TV’s Entertainment News, which aired on April 5, an interview that was held with Leeteuk and Eunhyuk regarding the 100 weeks of ranking first place was broadcast.

Leeteuk expressed his feelings by singing a comical song about ranking first place on a Taiwanese music site (kkbox) for 63 weeks with “Bonamana” and 37 weeks with “Mr. Simple.”

When he was asked about the secret behind such achievement, he responded, “Good looks?” and Eunhyuk added, “Familiarity.”

When asked about other achievements they are aiming for, they revealed that they want to be the idol group with the most album sales in the world.

Big Bang win Best Fan Award at MTV Italy TRL Awards

Big Bang won Best Fan Award at 2012 MTV Italy TRL Awards, held in Italy. They were the first Asian singing group that won the award.

On May 5 (local time), Big Bang were called as the winner of Best Fan Award at 2012 MTV TRL Awards, which took place in Firenze, Italy.

Avril Lavigne and the popular British idol group One Direction were also nominated for the Best Fan Award. However, Big Bang were finally named the winner of the Best Fan Award, and it proved how strong the K-pop boom was all over the world.

MTV TRL Awards are to select the most beloved artists and music videos in Italy.

The winner of the Best Fan Award is selected by the global music fans’ online votes, so it’s especially more meaningful that Big Bang won the award.

After hearing the news, Big Bang said, “We’re very happy and honored to receive an award at MTV TRL Awards. We thank you all for supporting us.”

Big Bang also won World Wide Act Award at 2011 MTV Europe Music Awards (EMA) last year and increased their reputation as the first Asian singing group to win that award.

Big Bang will soon hold a concert tour and meet nearly 150,000 fans in Japan. From May 17, they will visit Nagoya, Yokohama, Osaka, Saitama, and Fukuoka.

TaeTiSeo, SNSD’s subunit, ranked the top on the Olleh Music Chart for the first week of May.

“TaeTiSeo topped the Weekly Chart with the song ‘Twinkle’ for the first week of May (from April 29th to May 5th),” a source from Olleh Music stated.

Last week’s topper Sistar gave its no. 1 spot ranked second. Sistar ranked the top for the last two weeks in a row with the song, “Alone.” IVY ranked third with the song “Broken Heart,” proving female artists’ strong presence.

Elsewhere on the chart, Busker Busker ranked in the upper tier with multiple songs, including “Cherry Blossom Ending (no.4)” and “First Live(no.10),” proving its undying popularity.

The founder of JYP Entertainment, Park Jin Young also makes a frantic dash to no. 1 spot, ranking two of his new songs in no. 5 and no.9.

Park’s father passed away while Park is in South America for JYJ’s tour and the star heard the news on touching down Korea on March 14.

Jay Park ends his mall tour by showing his well-defined abs!

Jay Park finally wrapped up his three day mall tour today at Lucky Chinatown Mall. Like his two previous mall tours at Eastwood Mall Open Park and Venice Piazza McKinley Hill, it was a success. More fans have gathered today and filled the venue to the point other fans went up to the second and third floor just to watch his performance. The crowd were more excited and enthusiastic than even especially after Jay suddenly made a surprise appearance, coming from the second floor and then down where the stage was located. He once again made a last minute sound check that got fans screaming their lungs out. Jay, hearing the loud cheers and screams couldn’t keep his smile from coming out. He thanks the fans and tells them to keep the screaming for later.

Of course the official host for the event is none other than radio DJ, Park Jinri. Today she awed everyone for her beauty as she came out wearing a modernized hanbok. Fanboys even came to cheer for her. Once again opening the event for Jay Park is none other than the acoustic sweetheart, Sabrina. She sang three songs from her album which are: “Moves like Jagger” and “Somewhere Down The Road”. She ended her part by singing the Filipino version of the song, “Saranghae”.

Jay came out singing “Nothin’ on You” making fans scream louder than ever. Half-way through his performance, he surprised the fans by lifting up his shirt for a while and showing his drool worthy abs. The fans certainly went wilder than ever at the heat of the moment. He also performed “I Got Your Back”, “Up and Down”, “Know Your Name” and “Girlfriend”. Of course, there was also the “Getting to know Jay Park”portion wherein Jay revealed that he’ll be going to Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and the US for his tour. He also said that he loves his Asian fans and thanks everyone for supporting and loving him. He finished today’s event with a wave to everyone, a word of thanks and a promise to come back.

IU shows off her innocent face without makeup

IU recently attracted attention with her no makeup face.

Before releasing her new single Spring at the Age of Twenty on May 11, IU released one of the tracks, “Peach,” and it is currently receiving favorable reviews from the music fans. The song was composed by IU and it describes the heart-pounding moment of love in an acoustic sound.

Regarding the song, Loen Entertainment uploaded some pictures of IU from the first movie clip of her short music film Spring at the Age of Twenty. Under the title of “IU playing the recorder,” they were uploaded on the special page, named IU’s somewhat personal story, of Loen’s official YouTube channel.

The pictures show IU just wakened, thinking about something with a guitar in her hands, and walking on the street of San Marco Piazza in Venice, Italy.

IU especially attracted people’s attention with her face without makeup as she seemed innocent and fresh. In one of the pictures, IU’s enjoying the sunshine, letting her long straight hair down her back.

Girl’s Day successfully held their first live concert tour.

On May 7, DreamT Entertainment, Girl’s Day’s agency said Girl’s Day held live concerts, titled Girl’s Day Party in Jeff, in Okasa and Tokyo on May 2 and 6, respectively.

At the concerts, Girl’s Day performed their new song “Oh! My God,” “Don’t Cheat On Me,” “Shuppy Shuppy,” and “What About Me.”

The members also gave individual performances and showed off their charms. So Jin, Je Hae, and Min Ah gave solo live performances and Yu Ra and Hye Ri performed cheer girl dances. Girl’s Day also touched the fans by introducing one of their fans who came to the concert in wheelchair in tears.

Girl’s Day said, “There are always fans who come to see us. We’re encouraged by your support and interest. The happiest moment to us is when we meet our fans at our live concert. We’ll come visit Japan more often. Please give us your interest and support.”

Girl’s Day also interacted with their fans through large-scale promotional events such as small live concerts and  autograph sessions in Osaka on May 2, Nagoya on 3, and Tokyo on 5.

DreamT Entertainment says, “Girl’s Day successfully finished their live concerts in Osaka on May 2 and Tokyo on 6. Through the concerts and promotional events, they could meet nearly 10,000 fans.”

Girl’s Day will soon come back to Korea and continue on their activities.
