SNSD’s Sooyoung says, “I failed seventy auditions before I debuted”

SNSD’s Sooyoung recently said, “I auditioned seventy times to be an actress before I debuted as a singer, but I failed them all.”

On September 20, the lifestyle magazine First Look released a pictorial of Sooyoung along with an interview with her.

Currently appearing in tvN’s drama series The 3rd Hospital, Sooyoung said in the interview, “I was nervous about debuting as an actress at first, but I could focus on acting as time went by.”

Sooyoung also said, “I wanted to be an actress before I debuted as a singer. I prepared and auditioned about seventy times to be an actress, but I failed them all. I couldn’t give up though. I have made efforts little by little, and I’m now an actress.”

Sooyoung is currently playing the role of Eui Jin in the drama series The 3rd Hospital, which stars Kim Seung Woo, Oh Ji Ho, and Kim Min Jung.

Girls’ Generation’s Sooyoung becomes a blonde for ‘High Cut’

Popular Girls’ Generation member Sooyoung surprised fans with a chic blonde look in a photoshoot for the fashion magazine, ‘High Cut‘.

Sooyoung will be featured in the celebrity style magazine on its May 17th edition. Her slim figure and model-like legs were featured on full display as she worked a blond wig to portray a fresh, spring atmosphere while wearing pieces from the 2012 S/S Tory Burch collection.

After the photoshoot, she sat down for an interview, through which she commented on things ranging from her fashion sense to the Girls’ Generation members. “It is very tough for me to play my role in my drama since I am lacking in aegyo. The other Girls’ Generation members don’t really have aegyo in front of guys, so I can’t even learn from them.”

In regards to her members, she spared no compliments by saying, “I succeeded in life because of the members. While others my age are working part-time jobs to pay for school, I feel like I am on a ‘dream car’ with 8 others. I definitely receive much more love than what my abilities deserve.”

As the interview carried over to a discussion regarding her status as a ‘fashionista’, Sooyoung replied, “I normally do have an interest in fashion so I am thankful for that acknowledgement. Actually, I had no idea that fellow member Jessica had that much interest in fashion. When she was younger, she used to wear a simple white top and jeans, but now that she found a style that really fits her, she has become a real fashionista!”

SNSD’s Soo Young says that the movie I AM is a present to her

SNSD’s Soo Young recently revealed that the movie I AM reminded her of her resolution she made as a trainee.

On April 30, the showcase for the movie I AM was held at a CGV movie theater in Yeongdeungpo, Seoul. . Many acts representing SM Entertainment, including SNSD, TVXQ, SHINee, Super Junior, and Gangta, attended the event.

SNSD’ Soo Young said, “Watching the movie, I was surprised to see some scenes from old days that even I don’t remember. I was really impressed and wondered how the film makers managed to get those old films and edit them for a movie.”

The leggy beauty of SNSD added, “The movie really reminded me of the old days. It was too busy for me to recall the old days when I was a trainee and the resolutions I made during those days. Watching the movie allowed me to do that. The movie is dedicated to all the fans of SM Town’s artists, but it looks like a great present for me.”

I AM is a biographical film featuring SM Town’s artists and their years of efforts and the stories behind the process of becoming world-famous stars—the first Asian singers to perform on the stage at New York’s Madison Square Garden, a center of pop music. The high-profile movie will be released on May 10.

SNSD’s Sooyoung and Hyoyeon at Shinhwa’s concert: “Our generation grew up listening to your music”

SNSD’s Sooyoung and Hyoyeon have left comments about Shinhwa’s concert.

On April 21 at 9:55 p.m., JTBC’s Shinhwa TV broadcast the second part of “Humans Theater” which shows the members’ life past week. The program adopted the form of KBS’s Star Life Theatre as the stars are closely recorded in their private life revealing how they are naturally.

The episode also includes Shinhwa’s concert which was held at the Gymnastics Stadium on March 24. After the concert, Lee Min Woo says hi to SNSD’s Sooyoung and Hyoyeon.

Sooyoung says, “People from my generation grew up listening to Shinhwa’s songs. The concert was very meaningful to me because it brought back my old memories.”

The girls cheer on Shinhwa TV, and Hyoyeon inspires laughter as she tries to advertise the group’s album by shouting out, “Venus!”
