U-Kiss now has over 300,000 fans overseas

Recently, the number of U-Kiss fans overseas has increased over 300,000 people.
On May 11, the group’s agency said, “Over 300,000 people signed up for the group’s fan club, and 150,000 of them are Japanese. Indeed, it’s a remarkable outcome after the group’s debut in Japan.”
U-Kiss Japanese agency, Avex is observing the group’s potential growth closely. A staff member of the company evaluated the group, “U-Kiss’ popularity has grown so much that it seems to be able to succeed TVXQ.”
As to reflect his statement, the group itself is highly interested in activities abroad. U-Kiss was invited to the biggest music festival in Central and South America, the Evento 40, which will be held on May 12 as for the first Asian artist on the event.
The reason they are invited to the festival is because they are highly competent in communicating in several different languages. All members speak English, and some can even speak Japanese and Chinese which allows them a fast route to communicate with their foreign fans.
The more popular they become, the busier they are giving performances overseas. This will bring relatively low amount of domestic activities, so fans are raising concerned voices.
U-Kiss says, “We feel obliged and responsible in continuing the Hallyu boom which has already begun. So support us overcoming this growing pains and becoming true Hallyu stars who are for national interest as the leading character of Hallyu boom.”
Currently, the group is performing “Doradora.”
