Big Bang and 2NE1 voted top stars in France



The people of France recently selected Big Bang and 2NE1 as their favorite K-pop groups.

On April 3, the Korea Tourism Organization released a survey in January asking 3,775 hallyu fans living in France and in the ‘Favorite Boy or Girl Group (plural answer allowed)’ category, they voted for Big Bang and 2NE1.

In the boy group category, Big Bang ranked first with 49.9 percent of the votes. The group was followed by Super Junior (45 percent), SHINee (35.5 percent), B2ST (33.8 percent), and 2PM (24.2 percent).

In the girl group category, 2NE1 ranked first with 64.8 percent of the votes, followed by SNSD (45.4 percent), miss A (31.5 percent), f(x) (29.4 percent), and T-ara (25.9 percent).

The rate of male respondents who voted for Big Bang was relatively high and most of the respondents were in their early 20s.
The rate of male and female respondents who voted for 2NE1 were relatively similar compared to other girl groups. People in their teens and early 20s evenly voted for the group.

Big Bang and 2NE1 previously ranked first as the favorite boy and girl group category when K-pop France, an online Korean music site in France, did a survey.

The two groups released their albums on March 28 in Japan and entered the Top 10 list on the Oricon chart.
