SNSD top the Oricon daily singles chart

SNSD recently topped the Oricon daily singles chart and DVD chart.
According to the Oricon Chart issued on September 26, SNSD topped the daily singles chart with the Japanese version of “Oh!”
SNSD also topped the Oricon daily DVD chart with the Girls’ Generation Complete Video Collection.
SNSD are one of the top singing groups in Japan, but they unfortunately haven’t topped the Oricon weekly singles chart yet.
In just one week, SNSD sold a total of 44,907 copies of their Japanese debut single, which was released on October 20 in 2010, but they ranked second on the Oricon weekly singles chart, beaten by Arashi, who released their new album around the same time.
SNSD also sold more than 100,000 copies of “Mr. Taxi” in the first week after its release. It was released in April 2011. Again, it ranked second again, beaten by Jang Keun Suk’s “Let Me Cry.”
Nevertheless, there are not many singers or singing groups that can compete against SNSD now.
SKE48′s single, which ranked second on the Oricon daily singles chart, was released on September 19, a week before SNSD released their new single, and other singles are more than one-third lower in sales than “Oh!”
SNSD are currently promoting their new single in Japan.
