SNSD stamp set will be issued in August

The post office will issue sheets of stamps with pictures of SNSD members under the title, “My Own SNSD Stamp,” in early August.
The Korean Post Office, part of the Ministry of Knowledge Economy, recently announced, “‘My Own SNSD Stamp’ is the first stamp to be issued by the Korean Post Office with celebrity pictures. We’re specially issuing the stamps with pictures of SNSD members, the driving force behind the K-pop boom all over the world.”
The special stamp will be issued as a set in celebration of the fifth anniversary of SNSD’s debut. It includes total fourteen stamps – nine stamps with pictures of each SNSD member from The Boys, SNSD’s third full-length album, with the members’ autographs, and five stamps with SNSD’s album jacket images from Geeand Oh!.
The price of the stamp set is 20,000 won and it can be seen at the Korean Stamp Exhibition, which will be held at 50 post offices all over the nation and COEX from August 9 to 13.
Kim Tae Wan, the chief of the Korean Post Office, says, “The SNSD stamp set will make a great contribution to the development of stamp culture and the spread of Korean culture.”
SNSD released a new single album, Paparazzi, in Japan on June 27.
