T-ara were recently humiliated by an audience at a concert in Jeju Island.
Throughout the performance of T-ara, all the audience stayed quiet, putting down their glow-in-the-dark sticks. This usually happens when there’s trouble between fans of different idol groups or singers.
On September 8, T-ara participated in a concert held in celebration of the opening of the 2012 World Conservation Congress and performed “Sexy Love.”
Because T-ara didn’t perform live on Mnet’s M Countdown and SBS TV’s Inkigayo on September 6 and 8, it was hard to know the actual response from people. This concert in Jeju Island was the first place for T-ara to perform in front of a live audience after the controversy over Hwayoung.
At the concert, T-ara were given a frosty reception. The audience booed, and some of them harshly criticized them. When T-ara started performing, the audience stopped booing and stayed quiet throughout the performance.
Some of the audience in the back gave them a clap, but some shouted the name of Hwayoung, a member who recently left the group because of the rumor that she was being bullied by other members. After finishing their performance, T-ara said, “Thank you,” and left the stage.
