To the return of G-Dragon of the male “idol” group Big Bang (composed of G-Dragon, Taeyang, T.O.P, Seungri, and Daesung), major music charts responded with big shifts in the top ten rankings.
At the midnight of September 15, G-Dragon released his new EP, One of a Kind, on his official website, and other music websites such as Melon and Naver Music.
According to real time charts of major domestic music markets at around 9:00 a.m. of the same day, G-Dragon is ranked at the top of most charts, and all the songs of his EP are consecutively ranked on the top six.
His pre-released song, “That XX,” is still placed in higher rankings. In the Melon chart, Big Bang has taken six places in the top ten.
The title song “Crayon” has been ranked at the top with the release, beating Heo Gak, Secret, T-ara, and Psy.
“Missing You,” “That XX,” “Eventually,” “One of a Kind,” and “Today” followed the rankings from the third to the eighth.
In the chart of M.net, “Crayon” is also keeping the first place. “Missing You” is ranked second while “Eventually,” “One of a Kind,” and “Today” followed rankings from fourth to the sixth.
Most of the top ten songs of the Olleh Music belong to G-Dragon. “Missing You” led he rankings, followed by “Crayon,” “Eventually,” “Today,” and “One of a Kind.”
On the 16th of September, G-Dragon is to give his return performance on SBS’s Inkigayo. He revealed his intellectual, chic charm in the preview of his comeback on September 9. The star is also to give performances of the title track “Crayon,” and the pre-released song “One of a Kind.”
