Jang Keun Suk has a hard time because of fans obsessed with him
Jang Keun Suk recently had a hard time because of fans obsessed with him.
On August 11, Jang went to Shanghai, China, for a concert that was part of the 2012 Jang Keun Suk Asian Tour: The Cri Show 2, but he had a hard time because of Chinese fans obsessed with him.
On August 14, a spokesperson for Jang reported that Jang went to a restaurant to have a meal after the concert, but there were a lot of people around the restaurant to see him. Chinese police tried to break up the crowd, but it was totally uncontrollable.
The police told Jang, “You’re the reason for this mess, so you have to leave here immediately.” Eventually, Jang had to leave the restaurant.
The spokesperson for Jang also reported, “Even after Jang Keun Suk left the restaurant, the fans kept following his car. It was really dangerous. We were lucky to be alive.”
Because of this, the agency handling Jang’s concert was investigated.
This is not something that happens only in China. Some Japanese fans once installed a location-tracking device on Jang’s car in order to follow him.
The spokesperson for Jang says, “We really appreciate all Chinese and Japanese fans for supporting Jang Keun Suk, but we ask you to stop doing such extreme things because they are often seriously dangerous.”
Over 10,000 Chinese fans came to the concert in Shanghai to see Jang, and nearly 40 major media sources came to a press interview that was held on August 10.
In a real-time interview on Weibo, Jang received over 420,000 questions, proving his high popularity as a Hallyu star.
Jang will continue his concert tour in Taiwan on September 1. He will also participate in Summer Sonic 2012, which will be held in Osaka and Tokyo on August 18 and 19.
