B1A4′s Gong Chan has kidney removed on July 23

B1A4′s Gong Chan had one of his kidneys removed on July 23.
The group’s agency, WM Entertainment, said, “Gong Chan had his kidney removed today.”
“When the group was keeping busy with their song “Baby Goodnight,” Gong Chan felt pain in his side. He went to the hospital and heard that his kidney was failing. He put off surgery because he wanted to get surgery after he finished performing the song.”
“Whenever Gong Chan felt pain, he had a pain-killer to perform on stage. He always wore a happy face and tried not to look like he was in pain for group members and fans.”
According to the agency, Gong Chan’s doctor said, “We decided to remove one of his kidneys because it is dysfunctional.”
Gong Chan is currently recovering after the surgery and will stay in a hospital for about a week.
After leaving the hospital, he will be able to have an ordinary life but the agency said that he will be stabilized and given orders not to work too hard.
After the group finished performing their song, Sandeul is appearing in a musical and Baro is appearing in a radio program. The group will also appear on KBS Joy’s B1A4′s Hello Baby, which will start airing on July 25.
