Asian star Kim Hyun Joong does the dishes



Kim Hyun Joong recently attracted a lot of attention by doing the dishes at a restaurant.
The news that he did the dishes was reported on blogs and online community boards on September 15.
On September 14, Kim appeared in a restaurant in Seoul. The restaurant is one that is run by Kim and his friends.
According to a fan of Kim, who went to the restaurant when Kim was there, Kim stayed at the restaurant for about two hours. He signed autographs for his customers and personally did the dishes. In some pictures taken by the fan, Kim is doing the dishes in a sleeveless T-shirt and a leather jacket.
The fan says, “Kim did the dishes for about 20 minutes. I wanted to do it for him. He even cleaned up the sink. It looked like he had done it several times before.”
At the news, Kim’s fans and other people got surprised because Kim is a top celebrity. People responded: “It’s a restaurant that is run by him, but it’s surprising to hear that he even does the dishes at his restaurant.”
Kim recently became the first Korean singer who has sold over 200,000 copies of his albums in Japan. He’s currently shooting the drama series City Conquest, which is produced by the production team of the drama series Iris.

Kim Hyun Joong beats Super Junior and TVXQ in Japanese EP sales


Kim Hyun Joong’s EP Heat is showing off its power in Japan.
According to the Japanese Oricon Chart, the EP, which was released in July, has sold 200,580 copies so far in total. He is the first K-pop singer, to sell more than 200,000 copies among K-pop groups and soloists this year.
The EP sold 138,000 copies on the day of its release and ranked first on the Oricon Daily Chart. Then the song also ranked first on the Oricon Weekly Chart and third on the Monthly Chart. It sold over 200,000 copies only in two weeks.
This is a higher record than Super Junior, who previously set the record by selling 184,000 copies of Opera and TVXQ set by selling 175,000 copies of Android.
A local official says, “Kim has made a surprising record in the Japanese music market, where Japanese singers are in fierce competition against each other.”
“It is because Kim held various promotions, including concerts and fan meetings, to communicate with his fans rather than just promoting his song. Popular Japanese musician B’z also helped him to become popular.”
Kim is currently staying in Japan to shoot the TV series City Conquest.

Kim Hyun Joong focuses energy on City Conquest


Singer and actor Kim Hyun Joong will return to Korea and keep busy doing his schedules.
Kim released his Japanese debut EP in January and kept busy holding concerts in foreign countries.
He toured five Asian countries, Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, China, and Thailand and held fan meetings with his foreign fans.
His second Japanese EP Heat, which was released in July, is drawing a lot of attention by selling over 200,000 copies so far.
He also ranked first on several music charts, including, MTV chart in Taiwan, mobile ringtone download chart, Amazon Japan MP3 download world chart.
He completed his foreign schedules with a grand finale performance at the Japanese Firework Festival on August 10.
Kim’s next big project will be shooting the TV series City Conquest. He will show off his manly charms by playing the role of a lead character named Baek Mir.

TVXQ and Kim Hyun Joong win the Golden Disc in Japan



TVXQ and Kim Hyun Joong won the Golden Disc in Japan.
On August 10, the Recording Industry Association of Japan reported that TVXQ won the Golden Disc with their new single “Android,” which was released on July 11, and the DVD of their live tour of Japan, “Tone.”
The Golden Disc is given to artists whose records of album sales exceed 100,000 copies. Along with TVXQ, Kim Hyun Joong also won the Golden Disc with his new single “Heat,” which was released on July 4.
TVXQ proved their high popularity by setting new records on the Oricon Chart several times. “Android” is TVXQ’s eleventh single that topped the Oricon weekly single chart.
TVXQ already set a new record of topping the Oricon weekly chart ten times as the first foreign artist with their single “Still,” which was released in March. By having their latest release top the chart again, they broke the record.
TVXQ finished a large-scale concert tour of Japan early this year, attracting over 550,000 fans, and also successfully held a fan meeting with over 100,000 fans. Kim is currently working in several Asian countries including Japan.

Kim Hyun Joong donates ten million won to senior citizens who live alone



Kim Hyun Joong recently donated ten million won to some senior citizens who live alone.
Members of Kim’s fan club, Powerful S My Club, donated ten million won at the Beautiful Foundation campaign, which will be conducted till August 2.
The donation will be used to provide 175 electric fans and 100 thin blankets to some senior citizens so that they can stay healthy this summer.
Lee Eun Kyung, a member of the fan club, says, “I’ve always felt bad when I thought about the senior citizens who live alone in small houses, which have bad ventilation, but I feel better now because I can help them even a little bit. I also wish City Conquest success.”
Powerful S My Club started a scholarship fund under the name of Kim in February, 2010, and a total of 247 members have constantly donated to the Beautiful Foundation for three years. Until now, they have donated a total of 130,121,664 won.

Kim Hyun Joong finishes successful Asian tour



Singer and actor Kim Hyun Joong recently finished a successful Asian tour.
On July 31, according to Kim’s agency, Key East, Kim finished touring Asia on July 29 with fan meetings in eight cities across five Asian countries.
Kim started his tour in Singapore in May then he went to Hong Kong, Taiwan, China, and Thailand and sold over 40,000 tickets in total.
Kim received many favorable reviews by giving the best performances with perfect stage, sounds, and progress. He sang almost twenty songs live and prepared a laser show like they were some kind of concert. Kim also participated in several programs with his fans and made them go wild.
He drew a lot of attention by directing special performances for his fans. He parodied a scene from a movie with his fans and invited a fan on the stage to sing a song for them.
Kim says, “I was so happy because I could feel your warmth through the fan meetings. I will never forget and I will always try harder to become a better singer and actor.”
One of the local officials said, “Kim is the best artist, who satisfies fans and officials by giving high quality performances and fan services.”
He added, “Since his successful Asian tour, more people are paying attention to his next step as a global Hallyu star.”

Kim Hyun Joong got an IV to perform at his live concert in Japan, which was held in celebration of releasing his second Japanese single.
Kim performed for a total of 60,000 fans at his concert titled Kim Hyun Joong ‘Heat’ 2012 in Japan, held at Saitama Super Arena on July 14 and 15.
Performing with the Japanese popular musician Naoto Inti Raymi on July 14 under the title of Double Fantasista-Great Assist, Kim captivated the audience with his powerful energy and good stage manners.
At his exclusive live concert held on July 15, he attracted the audience’s attention by performing “Heat” and “Let’s Party” live.
As if he was trying to thank his fans, he performed several songs live. The fans of Kim also enthusiastically responded to him throughout the concert.
Despite the fact that Kim was in bad condition because of his hectic schedule and the concert on the previous day, he got an IV to perform for his fans who came to his concert on July 15.
Interacting with his fans by having a talk time during the concert, Kim said sorry to his fans for his bad condition and thanked for his new single’s success.
Kim’s second single, “Heat,” which was released on July 4, ranked first on the Oricon weekly chart, beating the Japanese popular singer Yamashita Tomohisa’s, by seeling 183,000 copies in the first week of its release.

Kim Hyun Joong tops the Oricon’s weekly chart



Kim Hyun Joong topped the Oricon’s weekly chart.
Topping the Oricon’s daily chart with his second Japanese single, “Heat,” selling over 140,000 copies on the first day of its release, which was July 4, he also ranked first on the Oricon’s weekly chart, selling over 183,000 copies in the first week.
It means a lot because it broke the sales record of his Japanese debut album, KISS KISS/Lucky Guy, which ranked second on the Oricon’s weekly chart, selling over 122,000 copies in the first week of its release, which was January 25. “Heat” is the fifth foreign artist’s solo single that ranked first on the Oricon’s weekly chart in the first week of its release, and its sales volume in the first week is the third largest.
Interested people in the music industry in Japan are paying a lot of attention to Kim’s music with such a comment as, “Kim Hyun Joong and his music have improved a lot in only a few months.”

Kim Hyun Joong topped the Oricon’s single daily chart with his second single album, Heat.
The album ranked first on the Oricon’s daily chart, selling about 138,000 copies as soon as it was released on July 4.
This sales volume is twice more than that of Kim’s debut album KISS KISS/Lucky Guy released in January last year. It proves Kim’s increased popularity in Japan.
It is also the largest sales volume for all overseas artists in Japan. It’s 5,000 more than that of TVXQ’s Why, which was 133,000.
Kim also sold overwhelmingly more than Morning Musume and Yamashita Tomohisa, who recently released new albums.
Kim’s second single album includes two songs, “Heat” and “Let’s Party.” With Kim’s cool voice, a cheerful rhythm, and an addictive melody that are harmonized well, this album is expected to attract a lot of attention.
Kim is currently promoting his album through Japanese TV shows and interviews. He will also say thank you to his Japanese fans by holding a special event in Osaka on July 7.

SS501′s Kim Hyun Joong reveals ‘Heat’ MV



Earlier yesterday, SS501′s Kim Hyun Joong, through agency Universal Music Japan, released a short MV teaser for his upcoming 2nd Japanese single, Heat, a song that he worked on with JPOP singer B’z, and the full MV has now been revealed.
Just like the MV teased, Heat is set in a concert-like setting, with Kim Hyun Joong singing heat in front of thousands of adoring fans. It strays a bit from your conventional MVs as typically fans see the artists showing off their dance while changing into multiple outfits.
The MV focuses more on the music than flashy moves and outfits and allows fans to appreciate the music rather than looks.

Kim Hyun Joong received overwhelming response on Chinese social network Weibo



During his previous press conference in Chengdu, he has hinted the fans that he will be opening a Weibo account to interact more with Chinese fans. Keeping his words, his official account is created this morning, and was immediately welcomed by thousands of fans online. Within 10 minutes, number of followers has exceeded 10 thousands on weibo, and in an hour’s time, his followers amount simply tripled.
Kim Hyun Joong has recorded a greeting video and shared the video on his weibo account, the video received thousands of reposts and comments, the overwhelming response clearly showed his sky-high popularity. Kim Hyun Joong releases Japanese single ‘Heat’ in July



Singer Kim Hyun Joong will release his new single in Japan.
On June 5, Kim’s agency, Keyeast, said that Kim will release his second Japanese single album Heat on July 4.
The single will include two songs “Heat” and “Let’s Party.” Kim showed off his soft image through his Japanese debut album, which was released in January. But this time, he will show off powerful charisma as a tough man.
He is planning to perform live in Saitama, Japan on July 14 and 15 to celebrate the release of his second single album.
At the July 14 live concert, Kim will collaborate with popular Japanese musician Naoto Intiraymi and emcee the ‘Double Fantasy Star-Great Assist.’ The two stars have known each other since when Kim visited Japan to appear in a goodwill soccer match.
Kim will hold his exclusive live concert ‘Kim Hyun Joong Heat 2012 in Japan’ for free on July 15. He will give splendid performances and have a great time with over 32,000 fans.

Kim Hyun Joong again set a new record in Japan.
On May 16, Kim topped the Oricon’s Daily Chart with the DVD of his live concert in Japan titled First Impact. It also topped the Oricon’s DVD Weekly Chart as over 16,000 copies were sold.
It’s the second time that a foreign solo singer topped the Oricon DVD Weekly Chart after Micheal Jackson with Micheal Jackson Vision in 2010. It’s especially more meaningful because Kim is the first Korean solo singer to set such a record.
BoA ranked third with 8 Films & More in 2003 and Jang Keun Suk ranked fourth with Jang Keun Suk 2011 Asia Tour Last in Seoul in 2011. However, Kim set a new record on the chart and he’s attracting wide attention both in Korea and Japan.
Its Blu-ray Disc version also ranked third on the Oricon’s Blu-ray Disc Chart with over 7,000 copies being sold.
Kim has recently finished his fan meetings in Singapore, Hong Kong, and Taiwan and will hold large-scale fan meetings in four cities of China from June.

The DVD entitled “First Impact” was released on Wednesday and topped Oricon’s daily DVD and music charts. As well as containing the finest moments from Kim’s concerts and fan-meets, “First Impact” also shows backstage scenes and has a special message from the Hallyu star himself.
Kim has recently collaborated with Japanese singer-songwriter duo B’z. KeyEast Entertainment announced on May 1 that Kim successfully recorded a song titled “Heat,” which is set to be released in Japan in July as Kim’s second single. Kim has long been a fan of the Japanese duo.
This prompted Kim’s Japanese distributor Universal Music to consult with B’z about working together. The Korean star is currently on a fan-meet tour that will take him to Singapore, Hong Kong and Taiwan.

Kim Hyun Joong’s live DVD ranks first on Oricon chart



Singer Kim Hyun Joong’s DVD, which includes his Japanese live concert, ranked first on the Oricon daily chart.
On May 17, Kim’s agency, Keyeast, reported that the DVD First Impact ranked first on the Oricon DVD daily chart and Music DVD chart as soon as it was released on May 16.
The DVD includes 3 CDs. The first CD includes Kim touring 8 Japanese cities and holding concerts in November of last year and the second includes his premium live concert, whichi was held in Yokohama in February. The last one is a special bonus for his fans.
Since the DVD also includes rehearsals and behind the scenes footage, it is expected to draw a lot of attention among fans.
Kim is touring Asia and holding fan meetings. He went to Singapore and Hong Kong and he will visit Taiwan on May 18 and 19.

[Exclusive] Kim Hyun Joong puts up a spectacular performance in Singapore!


On 4th May, Hallyu prince, ‘God of Universe’ – Kim Hyun Joong, heated up Singapore Indoor Stadium with 3000 fans in total. Among the fans, many specially traveled from different parts of the world to Singapore just to catch Hyun Joong’s 1st official Asia Tour. Although it was said to be a fanmeet, but with an upgraded scale, there’s no doubt to say it’s actually a mini-concert. Almost to the level of a full fledged concert, performing 15 songs in total and providing great fan services, Kim Hyun Joong once again captured hearts of many, bringing everyone to their feet towards the end of the concert.
The concert started with a video clip of the birth of Kim Hyun Joong, the ‘God of Universe’. As the screen disappears, Kim Hyun Joong came into the scene with the song ‘Let Me Go’ followed by title song from his first album, ‘Break Down’. Cheers and screams from the fans filled the stadium as he performed.
Always with a thankful heart, Kim Hyun Joong dedicated the song ‘Thank You’ to fans at the concert, specially thanking each and everyone for coming to his concert to support him. In addition, he has specially prepared english lyrics of ‘Happiness is…’, teaching fans how to sing the line, asking fans to join him when he gave fans the mic. The line of lyrics in English is really sweet – “Happiness is without you baby, I can’t even imagine it.”
A video clip was shown as he went backstage, it shown the 5 thing he would like to do for his girlfriends. One of the scenes in which he back-hugged a giant teddy bear, acting out the scene from titanic, has made fans wishing that they could be the lucky one!
During the game session, 5 lucky fans were called onto the stage to play ‘One-Mind’ game with Kim Hyun Joong, 4 of them walked away with gifts specially prepared by Hyun Joong. After which, Hyun Joong performed ‘Smile’ from album ‘Lucky’. He expresses that fans in Singapore are really lucky as this is the first time he has performed the song for fans.
Serenading ‘Marry You’ to a lucky fan, proposing to her, giving her roses, causing many fans to scream out loud at the scene. Indeed, what his fans call him as King of Fan Service! The fanmeet proceeded on with more songs from his recent album, Lucky Guy and also newest OST ‘If you are like me’. As the last song was sang, he sadly said ‘I’m sad that this fanmeet has came to an end’, however, he has promised fans that he will be back once again with new albums and songs for a full-fledged concert in the near future.

Fans shouted ‘encore! encore!’ in unison, and without upsetting the fans, Hyun Joong came back with ‘One More Time’ from his drama ‘Playful Kiss’, walking through the crowd of fans, getting as close to fans as possible. This time round, the concert really came to an end after ‘Lucky Guy’ was performed again. Fans rose to their feet, jumping to the beats, savoring every moments with their dream guy.
But that’s not all, Kim Hyun Joong held hi-5 session with all fans, thanking them personally, smiling and taking a closer look at each an everyone. With that, he has successfully ended his 1st stop of Asia Tour fanmeeting in a joyful mood.

Previously on May 4, Kim started his fan meeting at Singapore Indoor Stadium with 3,000 fans.
The event started with the grand music and fancy laser show. Kim performed “Break Down” “Lucky Guy” and other hit songs. He later had a talk show and spent quality time with his fans.
Not only that, Kim randomly drew five lots and the five lucky fans played a few games with Kim.
Later on, Kim captivated many women’s hearts by singing sweet ballad songs such as “Thank You” I’m Your man” “If You Were Like Me” and “One More Time.”
Kim will continue his tour to Hong Kong, Taiwan, and China.
